Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Medical College (BRAMC) was founded by the Ananda Social and Education Trust in 1981. The college is affiliated with the University of Health Sciences of Rajiv Gandhi. In many subjects which are recognized by the Medical Council of India, the college runs the MBBS program as well as post-graduate courses. The hospital with 600 beds is also situated on the campus. Admission to Dr. BR Ambedkar Medical College is achieved through an entrance exam such as NEET.
Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Medical College (BRAMC), Bangalore, was established by the Ananda Social and Educational Trust in July 1981. In 1987, the college began operating on its permanent campus at Kadugondanahalli. The campus extends over an area of 25 acres. Diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate courses are offered by BRAMC. The College is accredited by the India Medical Council (MCI). Previously, BRAMC was affiliated with the University of Bangalore and is now affiliated with the University of Health Sciences of Rajiv Gandhi.

BRAMC Courses
At the undergraduate level, the college provides a full-time MBBS program for 5 years. Per academic year the intake of MBBS students is 100, of which 10 percent belong to SC/ST group candidates. At the postgraduate level, it also offers MS, MD, and diploma programs. For MD and MS, the period is 3 years.
For MBBS
The full-time dual degree program is MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery). Class 12 in the science stream with at least 60 percent marks is the minimum eligibility for qualifying for this program.
The selection of candidates is based on the NEET test. Based on which admission will be given, the All India Rank and percentile obtained in the NEET must be submitted to the college.
The NEET (National Eligibility Entrance Test) is an offline entrance exam at the national level that is carried out for admission to MBBS and BDS courses. Class 12 is the minimum of NEET Eligibility. BRAMC Admission
Registration is performed both online and offline. Applicants who wish to qualify for the MD or MS program must have a graduate degree with the requisite marks in the appropriate discipline. The choice is solely based on the merit of the last qualification test.

NEET takes place every year in May, generally on the 1st or 2nd Sunday. The test is conducted by CBSE, New Delhi, and is the standard national level test for medical course admission.
- The test is planned to last three hours.
- Four sections are included in the test, namely Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, and Botany.
- For every correct answer, four marks are awarded, and one mark is deducted for every incorrect answer.

Eligibility for MBBS
Candidates must be at least 17 years of age and must have passed/appeared from a recognized board in the country for the 10+2 level examination or its equivalent with English, Physics, Chemistry & Biology subjects and with 60 percent marks for this category i.e. CBSE/ISC/Board of State or the equivalent. It is mandatory to appear on NEET.

BRAMC Cut-off:
