Thakur College of Engineering and Technology or TCET, which was founded in 2001, is a private engineering institution recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Thakur College of Engineering and Technology (TCET) Admission :
The University of Mumbai is affiliated with the Thakur College of Engineering and Technology (TCET). It offers 6 undergraduate courses and 3 postgraduate courses in different fields. It also offers a Ph.D. in Technology program.
- Applicants must have passed a 10 + 2 test with PCM marks of 50 percent.
- The candidates must have completed the Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering & Technology for the M.E course.
- B.Tech admission. It is performed on the basis of the MHT-CET carried out by DTE, Maharashtra.
- The JEE Key Score Holders will be given priority.
- To obtain access to the M.Tech program, a valid GATE score is required.
- Admission to the Ph.D. course is merit-based, followed by an interview at the university level.
- Final selection is based on the calculative results in the qualifying test, followed by GD and PI scores in the entrance exam.
Applicants are expected to qualify for the MHT CET with a good ranking for admission to the undergraduate programs.
The cut-off is set by the institution’s admission board. Applicants must have passed their 12th board test in physics, chemistry, and mathematics with at least 45 percent aggregate.
Candidates are expected to apply for the GATE entrance examination with a good ranking for admission to postgraduate programs. Applicants must have a 50 percent composite bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or institute.
Candidates must have a postgraduate degree from Mumbai University or an equivalent for admission to Ph.D.-level courses. Those applicants are eligible for the B.E. At least 50 percent marks (45 percent marks for SC / ST / OBC / PWD candidates) were obtained by the Lateral Entry that passed the Diploma in Engineering.
Candidates who passed the B.Sc. Graduation with 50 percent (45 percent marks for reserved category) marks and 10+2 as a subject with Mathematics.
Admission into M.E.
B.E./B.Tech. Degree with 50% marks (45% marks for reserved category) from a university recognized by AIU or AICTE. GATE score followed by counseling and performance in GD and PI

Application procedure :
Admission into various courses at TCET can be done by filling up the application forms that are available online as well as offline mode. The college changes a minimal amount as the application fee.
Steps for Online application :
- Visit the official website and create a login ID by filling in the mandatory information in the admission tab.
- Fill out the application form with all the required educational and personal details and upload scanned copies of the required documents.
- This is followed by paying the application fee via debit card/credit card/net banking or any other payment methods available.
- The candidate must take a printout of the form and payment receipt and is required to report to the college within ten days and submit original documents along with the admission letter.
Steps for offline application :
- The candidate must register on the official website of the college.
- After this, the candidate needs to visit the college Admission Counsellor to fill out the form, submit original documents, and pay the fee.

Candidates are given admission to various UG & PG courses offered at the TCET on the basis of the cut-offs of the respective entrance tests or merit required for qualification.
Cut-offs are released professionally by the college authority category-wise.
