The Sri Shakthi Institute of Engineering and Technology (SIET) was founded in 2006. It is situated in the southern Indian city of Coimbatore, Chennai. This college is affiliated with Anna University, Chennai, and has earned A.I.C.T.E. degrees from New Delhi.
This institute offers a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Engineering and Technology. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in 12 specializations and a Master’s degree in 5 specializations. The institute also provides lateral entrance to both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees, provided that they fulfill the criteria to apply for entry.

The important point for admission to SIET
- E. applicants are required to attend Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) counseling conducted by Anna University for admission to all Tamil Nadu Colleges.
- Admission is based on the 10 + 2 marks and guidance.
- The minimum age of applicants should be 18 years and the upper age limit of 25 years should not be surpassed. The reserved group earns 3 years of relaxation at the upper age limit.
- Subjects Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry should be the main subjects of the 10 + 2 B.E programs offered by this institution.
- Applicants must achieve a total of 50 percent marks in 10 + 2 to apply for entry. OBC Category students may appear for admission with a total of 45 percent marks and SC, ST, and SCA in a total of 40 percent marks.
- E candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in the appropriate discipline in order to enroll in SIET.
- For admission to M.E, GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering)/TANCET (Tamil Nadu General Entry Test) requires entrance exam scores.
- Selection will be made on a merit basis and will also be attended by therapy.
- Reserved Group students will be chosen on the basis of their Quota and Government regulations.

Eligibility Criteria for BE/ BTech programs
- Applicants are expected to pass a 10 + 2 test with 50% of the aggregate marks for the general category. For category OBC, 45 percent of aggregate marks and for categories SC, ST, and SCA, 40 percent of aggregate marks are needed.
- Applicants must have completed their studies in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as core subjects.
- Candidates must be no less than 18 years of age and not more than 25 years of age.
- Relaxation of 3 years is stated in the upper age limit for the reserved category.
- Applicants are expected to appear on TNEA therapy conducted by Anna University.
- Candidates who belong to various states must send a birth certificate to the competent authority. The same applies to candidates who have completed 10 + 2 from countries other than Tamil Nadu.
- Sons and daughters of All India Service Tamil Nadu Cadre Officers are qualifying for TNEA 2020.
Selection Process
- Applicants will be chosen on a merit basis in the qualifying test.
- Selected candidates will go through university therapy. The TNEA call letter from Anna University must be downloaded from the candidates.
- Single Window therapy sessions will be given to each candidate and will be provided according to their preference.
- Colleges will be assigned during therapy.
- The deposit of INR 5000 will be expected to be paid initially in the general category. Reserved applicants would be expected to pay INR 1000 AS a COUNSELLING fee.
Eligibility Criteria for ME/ MTech
- Applicants are expected to complete 3-year B.Tech graduation. /The B.E. Recognized University
- A total of 50 percent marks is required to apply for the Master’s program in the general category. For reserved categories, 45% of aggregate marks are needed.
Selection Process
- Applicants are expected to appear in either GATE or TANCET entrance exams to apply for the Master’s program.
- Candidates will be selected based on the scores they have earned.
- Short-listed applicants will be intimated as to the selection for entry to the program.
- Tuition Fees are required to be paid to confirm the seat.
