Sri Sivasubramaniya Nadar College of Engineering was established by Shiv Nadar, the founder and chairman of HCL Technologies. in 1996. Affiliated with Anna University, SSNCE became an autonomous institute in 2018. The college offers various UG and PG level courses in the stream of Engineering.
SSN College of Engineering aims to offer the best quality of higher learning in the field of Engineering and Technology. It was ranked at the 37th position among engineering colleges in India by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) in 2019. All the programs offered by the institution are approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

SSN College of Engineering Admission Process :
Sri Sivasubramaniya Nadar College of Engineering (SSNCE), popularly known as SSN College of Engineering was founded by Dr Shiv Nadar, founder, and chairman of HCL Technologies.
Affiliated to Anna University, SSNCE follows the admission criteria laid down by the same.
UG Courses
SSNCE BE/BTech admission is carried out based on scores obtained in Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) followed by counselling.
PG Courses
SSN College of Engineering admission to MTech courses is based on GATE scores/Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) ranks.
Admission for BE/BTech :
BE and BTech programs are offered at the UG level through TNEA counselling.
Admission to both of these programs is based on a candidate’s merit in class 12th or equivalent exams. The college applies a special formula to calculate the merit of each candidate known as Q marks.
The formula is Q = M + ((P+C) / 2), where M, P, and C are percentage aggregate in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry respectively.
Counselling
Out of the total seats in these courses, 65% are filled up through single-window counselling.
Management quota
35% of the remaining seats are offered through merit.
25 seats are reserved for the students who excel in both academics and sports and 25 seats for toppers of government rural schools of Tamil Nadu.
15 state board toppers are offered free education at SSNCE. Admissions are also offered through sports quota.

The institute also offers BE/BTech admission through lateral entry to the second year of the BE/BTech program.
- Candidates must have pursued a 3-year Diploma in Engineering after Class 10 or Class 12 from a recognized institute.
- Candidates must have obtained a minimum of 90% average aggregate in semesters V and VI of the diploma program.
Admission for ME/MTech :
- Admission to ME/MTech is based on a candidate’s scores in TANCET or GATE.
- Anna University releases the Tamil Nadu Common Admissions (TANCA) rank list for the qualified candidates. Such candidates only can appear for the TANCET counseling
- Aspirants must apply separately for TANCET and GATE categories on Anna University’s website.
- Candidates must have a BE/BTech degree to be eligible to apply for ME/MTech. Candidates with AMIE or equivalent can also apply.

- Click on the ‘SSN College of Engineering’ and choose the ‘Admissions’ tab to select the desired program.
- Register for the exam and provide the necessary details required. It includes the candidate’s personal information such as name, parents’ name, date of birth, nationality, etc.
- Enter the details of the qualifying exams, last attended school/institute, and Upload the required documents.
- Pay the application fee of Rs 1,250 via debit card/ credit card/ net banking or any other available method. This completes the application process.

SSN College of Engineering has an active and well-driven placement cell. It recorded its highest salary as Rs 61 LPA in 2019. More than 1023 students got placed with an average salary of Rs 5.7 LPA. SSN College of Engineering Cut-off 2024 :
SSN College of Engineering’s (SSNCE) cut-off is based on the performance of students in the TNEA exam. Cutoffs are released based on ranks that candidates must meet to secure admission in undergraduate (UG) engineering courses (BTech) offered at the institute.
- The final cutoff is made available by the institute after the last round of TNEA Counselling every year.
