PSG College of Technology
PSG College of Technology, popularly known as PSGCT was established in 1951 by the PSG & Sons’ Charities Trust. A private autonomous college, PSGCT holds the accreditation of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and is affiliated to Anna University.
PSGCT offers as many as 15 different courses in Technology and Engineering departments. Apart from this, departments of computer applications, basic science, management sciences, and humanities are also imparted.
Overall, PSG College of Technology offers to its students UG-level BTech and BSc programs, PG-level MSc, MTech, MCA and MBA programs, and research – level Ph.D. and M.Phil programs. It also offers various specializations in M.Sc. Integrated program.

PSGCT Admission :
The PSG College of Technology is an autonomous private engineering college that offers BE/BTech, BSc, ME/MTech, MBA, PGDM, MCA, and Ph.D. programs.
A mass of more than 505 students is currently pursuing research programs from PSGCT. The institute is one of the popular engineering colleges of Tamil Nadu.
Admission Highlights :
- Admission to the BE/BTech program is given, based on the basis of TNEA counseling.
- PSGCT ME/MTech admission is given on the basis of scores in TANCET or GATE followed by single window counseling.
Candidates with a valid GATE score will be given the first preference.
- Candidates are selected for MBA and MCA programs based on a valid score in the TANCET entrance exam.
- For the Integrated MSc program, the selection is done based on an online test followed by the performance in Personal Interview.
- Admission to BSc in Applied Science is done through single window counseling.
UG Courses
To get admission into any course, candidates must ensure to go through the eligibility criteria of that respective course first. The basic eligibility criteria to pursue any UG program is passing Class 12.
BE/BTech, BSc, Integrated MSc
PSG College of Technology (PSGCT) offers BE/BTech in 15 specializations. PSGCT BE/BTech admission is based on TNEA counseling.
Eligibility Criteria :
- Candidates must have passed in Class 12 in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics or equivalent with 50% aggregate.

BSc or Bachelor in Science is offered in two specializations.
Candidates seeking admission to BSc in Computer System and Design must have a valid score in an online test in Mathematics which is conducted by the college only.
Eligibility Criteria :
- Candidates who have passed Class 12 with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry are eligible.

Integrated MSc is offered in four specializations which includes :
- Theoretical Computer Science
- Software Systems
- Data Science
- Fashion Design & Manufacturing
Eligibility Criteria :
- Pass in Class 12 in Mathematics and Physics as compulsory subjects from a recognized board such as CBSE, ICSE, etc.
PG Courses
ME/MTech, MSc, MCA, MBA, PGDM
ME/MTech, MSc, MCA, MBA, and PGDM are offered by PSGCT at the PG level. The basic eligibility criteria to pursue any PG program is a bachelor’s degree.
ME/MTech can be pursued in 26 specializations available at the PSGCT. ME/MTech admission is based on GATE or TANCET score. PSGCT offers ME in full-time as well as part-time mode.

Admission to the MSc program is based on the performance in Personal Interview.

In addition to the above-mentioned PG courses, PSGCT also offers MBA, PGDM, MCA, and Ph.D. programs to the students. Given below are the respective eligibility criteria.
For admission into MBA programs,
candidates need to have a valid score in CAT, MAT, or TANCET entrance exams.

Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50%
For admission into PGDM,
Candidates need to qualify in the CAT or MAT exam.

MCA admission is based on a valid score in the TANCET exam.
Eligibility Criteria :
- Candidates must have secured a minimum of 50% aggregate in Class 12 with Mathematics.
- Candidates must also have a Bachelor’s degree in the relevant field.
MPhil Admission
PSGCT offers two specializations in MPhil in full-time and part-time mode.
Eligibility Criteria :
- Candidates must possess a Master’s degree in the relevant field with a minimum of 55%

Application process :
Candidates seeking admission in PSGCT can apply either in the online or offline mode, as per suitability.
Candidates seeking admission to the various UG and PG programs in the offline mode need to send the application form to the admission office of the college along with the prescribed application fee.

PSG College of Technology Cut-off 2020 :
PSGCT releases its own Cut-off every year based on the performance of candidates in the TNEA entrance test. This is mainly based for BTech admission. For MTech admission, GATE cut off as well as TANCET cut offs are released. However, GATE qualifiers are preferred for admission.
To secure admission in BTech courses offered at PSGCT, candidates must meet the TNEA cutoff. Since the cut-off for 2020 is not yet available, here is a list of closing rank cut-offs for the year 2018 & 2019 for reference :
