Christ University
Christ (Deemed-to-be) University is widely popular for being the first institution in Karnataka to be accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) in 1998. Christ University was successfully established in 1969 as Christ College and started offering postgraduate courses in 1990.
It was in 2008, that the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India declared it as a ‘Deemed-to-be-University’.
In 2004, Christ College was conferred with autonomy by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and was identified as an Institution with Potential for Excellence in 2006.

Christ University Admission :
The deemed university offers academic excellence in the fields of Science, Arts, Commerce, Law, and Management in around 160 UG, PG, Diploma, MPhil, and PhD programs across multiple specializations.
Candidates seeking admission to these courses can apply not only online but also through the offline mode. Application forms are usually made available towards the end of the year.
- Christ University conducts its own entrance test known as the Christ University Entrance Test (CUET) for candidates to qualify for almost all courses. Admission is carried out on the basis of merit scored in the previous qualification exam, evaluation of skills, and personal interview.
- The evaluation of scores in the entrance test is followed by skill assessment, micro presentation, and personal interview rounds only for the selected students.
- There is no requirement for entrance test for BBA, BHM, BCom (H), BCom Professional, BCom International Finance, MSc in Mathematics and BA in Media Studies, Communication and Media, Economics, Political Science, Sociology, History, English, Psychology, and Journalism.
- MAT/ CAT/ CMAT/ XAT/ GMAT/ GRE/ ATMA or GMAT are the various entrance exams to qualify in order to take admission in MBA whereas The university holds group discussions along with a micro presentation, written assessment, verbal assessment, and informal interview for admission to MBA-Tourism & Travel Management.
- Admission to the MPhil & PhD program is based on the scores obtained in the entrance examination, research skill assessment test, and Personal Interview (PI).

Steps to fill out the application form :
In offline mode:
- The application form can be accessed from the Admission Office of the University.
- Candidates must fill in the required details consisting of personal and schooling details.
- The form must be filled out carefully along with attaching all the documents asked.
- The application fee must be attached in the form of a DD drawn in favour of ‘Christ University’ payable at Bengaluru.
- The completely filled application form, documents, and fee receipt are to be posted on the office address of Christ University.
In online mode:
- The application form can be found on the official website, at christuniversity.in
- Candidates need to create their new Registration ID and Username.
- Fill in the application form and upload the documents that are required.
- Select the date and venue for the selection process and pay the application fee which can be done through Credit card/ Debit card or Net Banking.
- Submit the application form.

Christ University Placements :
Christ University Bangalore has a well-known and one of the few active Placement Offices / Cells which was established in 1997. The cell has been setting new records every year for the past 2 decades.
The Placement Office at Christ University prepares its students for career planning through regular counselling sessions. Apart from this, UG and PG students are given the opportunity to explore new career avenues through company visits.
- In 2019, a total no. of 142 recruiters placed around 1720 students with the highest and lowest packages of ₹13.12 LPA and ₹6 LPA respectively.
- In 2018, a total number of 132 recruiting companies placed around 2149 out of 2778 students. The highest salary package offered was of ₹13 LPA while the lowest was ₹ 5 LPA.

The university offers scholarships to not only talented students but also to meritorious candidates in need of financial assistance. Here are the three flagship categories of scholarships :
Merit Scholarship
- Awarded to students with exceptional performance in academics as well as a good record in attendance.
- Candidates whose fee ranges up to 10,000 will be given a 50% refund of fees, whose fees range from Rs.10,000 to Rs.25,000 will be given a 25% fee refund and whose fee ranges above Rs.25,000 will be given a 10% refund of fee.
Scholarship for Financial Assistance
- Awarded to candidates belonging to a financially weaker background or to those coming from a rural background.
- The percentage of concessions for different categories is recommended as 0 to 50% for self-financing courses and 0 to 90% for others.

Christ University Cut-off 2024 :
Candidates are given admission to various courses in Christ University on the basis of the cut-offs of its very own entrance exam called the Christ University Entrance Test (CUET) along with the respective entrance tests required for qualification.
Cut-offs are released professionally by the college authority category-wise.
The candidates that meet the criteria are only preferred for admission.
- Candidates seeking admission to UG courses must adhere to the COMEDK UGET/ JEE Main/ JEE Advanced/ KCET cut-offs released by the college authority.
- Candidates looking for admissions in Tech must go through the cut-offs of GATE / K-PGCET released by the authority.
- For an MBA, candidates must go through the MAT/ CAT/ CMAT/ XAT/ GMAT/ GRE/ ATMA or GMAT cut-off schemes released by the university.
