About AICTE

Under the Department of Higher Education, the Ministry of Human Resource Development, the All India Council for Technical Education ( AICTE) is the legislative body and the state technical education council. AICTE was first established as an advisory body in November 1945 and subsequently granted legislative status by an Act of Parliament in 1987. It is responsible for the proper planning and organized growth of India’s technical education and management education system.

According to its charter, the AICTE accredits postgraduate and graduate programs at Indian institutions under particular categories. The 10 Legislative Boards of Studies, namely UG Studies in Eng., assist it. & Tech., PG and Eng. analysis. Architecture, Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Information Technology, Town and Country Planning, and Tech., Management Studies, Vocational Education, Professional Education, Pharmaceutical Education.

PRE MBA

This course is designed to allow potential MBA candidates to deal more comfortably with the syllabus. Short courses are taught in English, Soft Skills, Algebra, Quantitative Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Accountancy, and MIS. To upgrade students, qualified faculty members frequently take charge of these courses.

PREPARATORY CLASSES

Students are expected to apply for CAT / CMAT / MAT / XAT or JEMAT to get admitted to any affiliated college. These classes are specifically designed to prepare students to participate in the competitive exams mentioned above. These classes are offered at our Karbala, Sonarpur Station Road Campus three times a week.

• MAT (Management Aptitude Test)

The Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is a standard aptitude test that has been carried out in India since 1998 by the All India Management Association (AIMA). MAT is used for admission to the Master of Business Administration (MBA) and related programs by over 600 business schools across India. In 2003, it was approved by the Ministry of Human Resource Development.

Candidates can choose to take either a computer-based or a paper-based test. It is done in either English or Hindi. Eligibility is for graduates of any discipline, while graduate course students from the final year can also apply. The experiments are carried out four times a year, in February, May, September, and December. The cost of admission was around 1,400 (US$ 20) in 2017 and the test scores are valid for one year.

The tests include 200 questions, 40 in each subject: understanding of language, mathematical skills, interpretation and adequacy of data, intellect and logical thinking, and the Indian and global climate. 150 minutes is the time limit.

• CMAT (Common Management Admission Test)

A national-level selection examination for passage into the executive programs is the Popular Management Admission Test (CMAT). The CMAT Exam has been performed only a single time in the long period of January since 2016. Until 2018, according to the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), the Government of India, it was consistently headed by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

Eligibility

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will prescribe the CMAT Exam qualification laws. All CMAT test takers should comply with the CMAT Exam 2021 certification steps referenced below.

• Candidates must be an Indian national.
• Graduates may apply for the CMAT Exam in any order from a perceived institution.
• Last year understudies of graduate degree courses (10 + 2 + 3) whose results will be pronounced before the affirmation scheme starts for the 2020-21 academic year are also eligible for the online CMAT Exam evaluation based on the PC.

• CMAT Review Pattern 2021 has 100 MCQ style questions split into 4 parts:
• The computer-based entrance test is the CMAT 2021 test.
• A 3 hour period test will be CMAT 2021 Pattern
• The test will take place from 9.30 AM to 12.30 PM in a solitary movement.
• A few changes in the structure and content of the CMAT paper design are common.

Classrooms

SVIMCS Kolkata has state-of-the-art facilities, including spacious air-conditioned classrooms, well-equipped labs, computing centers, libraries. The institution has 20 spacious, completely air-conditioned classrooms with a capacity of 60 students. The rooms are well-appointed, airy, and well lit. For immersive learning, classrooms are fitted with LCD projectors & microphones.

Computer labs

In addition to the computer lab, there is a centralized 40-pc computer center for students to use for their practical courses, project work planning, and presentation. They can also access the internet from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm to process appropriate data for academic purposes.

Library

The Library is sophisticated and well fitted. Since its creation, the library has been semi-computerized. In the Reference Section, a broad range of textbooks, handbooks, and national & foreign journals are available. The library offers all users OPAC, the Internet, and Reprographic & CD-ROM. All students can use the Book Bank Facility. There is also an e-journal facility that gives students and staff a competitive advantage.

Hostel

SVIMCS Kolkata has beautifully built separate hostels, each with all the modern facilities for boys and girls, for boarding and other recreational activities. In each hostel, there are hostel committees of 2 boarders’ members of a hostel superintendent.

Q). Does SVIMCS Kolkata offer scholarships??

Ans. The institute offers scholarships to students in classes 10th, 12th, and Graduation who have scored 60 percentage points. A scholarship of INR 40,000 is offered by the institute.

Q). Can I get admission based on the entrance test alone?

Ans. The admission will be based, depending on the admission requirements, on the merit of the entrance test, or the marks of the qualifying examination. However, the minimum qualifying criteria must be met for all applicants.

Q) During the course, will a student be employed??

Ans. No, these are full-time services. The length of the program would not encourage students to take on any paying work.
