Introduction:

Surana College, founded in 1995, is a member of the Karnataka State Universities Act 2000 and Bangalore University under section 53(5). It is also covered by sections 2(f) and 12(B) of the U.G.C. Act 1956. The institution has provided high-quality education based on the need of all societal segments. Post Graduation Courses

Surana College’s graduate programs are located in the satellite town of Kengeri. The Kengeri campus is 0.5 km from the train station and 1 km from the bus terminal. The M.B.A. and M.C.A. programs are AICTE-approved and associated with Bangalore University, while the psychology program is affiliated with Bangalore University.

At Surana College’s Kengeri Campus, the M.Sc. (Psychology) program offers a master’s degree in psychology. The Course is a two-year course connected to Bangalore University and focuses on applied skills. The department also functions as a research hub for Bangalore University and will soon provide advice for Ph.D. candidates. Professors like Dr. Sujendra Prakash, Dr. Y. Balakrishna Acharya, Dr. Anitha Bhat, and Dr. Anitha B S have formerly led the department. Dr. Archana Bhat K now serves as the department’s leader. Direct admissions begin in January, and the University quota for admissions begins roughly around July. 30 Management Quota Seats and 30 University Seats make up the overall intake. Any Indian citizen with a psychology degree can apply for this program.

The following streams are available as specializations in the postgraduate department: Clinical Psychology, first Psychology in Organizations, Children’s Psychology Inpatient Rehabilitation Psychology. The dissertation, internship, ongoing fieldwork, and extension projects are required parts of the curriculum. N.E.T. and KSLET exam coaching is included in the cost of the Course. Two students passed the KSLET tests in 2018, one passed the N.E.T. with J.R.F., and another passed the N.E.T. in 2019.

 

Diploma Courses

Diploma in Jewelry Design and Boutique Management:

This college module aims to provide students with management and fashion design abilities. They can better position themselves for self-employment with its aid. In addition, the program offers jewelry design, which goes nicely with clothing design.
