Also known as SIT, Siddaganga Institute of Technology is an autonomous engineering college, established in 1963 by Sree Siddaganga Education Society in the Tumkur city of Karnataka.

The university conducts undergraduate, postgraduate, and Ph.D. level programs in different engineering and science disciplines. The institute offers 12 UG programs and 16 PG programs.

Siddaganga Institute of Technology (SIT) Admission & Eligibility 2024:

Siddaganga Institute of Technology is a prestigious Engineering college that offers admissions into various specializations in a variety of fields and streams. It offers both UG & PG level programs along with other doctoral ones.

The admission is done through Karnataka CET or KCET for 50% of the total seats. Through COMED-K or Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka, the number of the seats is 25% of the total ones and further 25% of the seats are through management quota.

Candidates can apply through the  KEA website for UG and PG programs.

Application Process :

The process of application is different for different courses. Find below the detailed information about the application process:

For BE Programs:

• The first step is to apply for Karnataka CET / PGCET through the respective websites.
• Students can download from the website the detailed brochure.
• Candidates have to fill an online application form and submit the same after entering the required details.
• Scanned copies are required to be uploaded for the candidate’s signature, passport size photograph, candidate’s left-hand thumb impression, and parent’s signature.
• Payment of application fee can be done through an e-Challan online.
• Once the application has been submitted successfully, candidates will be issued an admit card for appearing in KCET / PGCET. Candidates must have the admit card with them, till the admission time.
• Outside Karnataka, candidates can apply through COMEDK.

For Ph.D. Programs:

• Candidates need to collect a copy of the application from the institute’s admission office.
• Candidates can pay the required fee by demand draft (DD) or cash.
• The application form and related documents must be obtained by the admission office of the Institution on or before the last day.
• Shortlisted candidates are called by the institution for further proceedings.
