In Dharwad, Karnataka, Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College of Engineering and Technology (SDMCET) is located. SDMCET, founded in 1979, was launched by the SDME Society. This private engineering college is an independent technical institute that is self-financed.

SDMCET Admission process :
Admission for BE
Admission to the BE program is done through counseling based on the rank/ score obtained in the Karnataka Combined Entrance Test (CET)/ Consortium of Medical Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMED-K).
Candidates seeking admission through management quota must directly contact the college authority. In this case, seats will be filled directly by the institute.
Eligibility :
- Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with English (Languages).
- Minimum of 45% (40% for SC, ST, Cat-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B category) of marks in aggregate in Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry / Bio- Technology / Biology / Electronics / Computer.
- Students appearing in the 10+2 or equivalent exam can also apply for admission.
- Students who have passed from Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) are also not eligible.
