National Engineering College
The National Engineering College (NEC), Kodaikanal, established in 1984 is a private, autonomous college and operates under the National Trust for Education and Charity. The college is affiliated to the University of Anna and is accredited by the All India Technical Education Council (AICTE). Many events such as cultural, sporting, literary, technological events / TechFests, industrial visits/tours, alumni and social activities are organized/conducted in order to increase the exposure, awareness and soft skills of the student institute.

National Engineering College Admission :
Kodaikanal National Engineering College offers undergraduate programs in Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, and Civil Engineering.
It offers PG programs in Computer Science and Engineering, Control and Instrumentation of High Voltage Engineering, Embedded Systems Technologies, and Information Technology in Energy Engineering. Kodaikanal is offering admission to B. Tech, National Engineering College, based on TNEA counselling conducted by Anna University. Based on TANCET or GATE ratings, NEC Kodaikanal offers M. Tech and also participates in Anna University’s Tamil Nadu Common Admissions.
Admission for B. Tech :
The B. Tech candidates must register and apply online on the Anna University website.
Based on the merit of the marks in the qualifying test, admission will be offered.
Applicants must register and apply for TNEA advice from Anna University and engage in TNEA Single Window Advice.
Based on engagement in TNEA therapy, record authentication, and fee payment, candidates will be granted entry.
A rank list is prepared by the Management Quota Committee (35 per cent of the approved strength) established by the state government or regulating admission at all engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu and then issues allocation order to the candidate based on the college’s preference.
Admission for M. Tech :
Admission is dependent on the entrance exam administered by the Association of Engineering Colleges for Management Quota.
The application procedure for admission is available both online as well as offline mode. Candidates can download the application form online from the official website of the college, fill it with the required details, upload the needed documents, pay the application fee as asked, and submit the form. Eligible candidates can download their admit cards as soon as it is released. In the offline mode, candidates must take off a print of the application form, fill it out, attach the documents, and send it to the official address of the examination portal along with the application fee.

National Engineering Cut-off 2024 :
In the National Engineering College, candidates are given admission to the various UG & PG courses based on the cut-offs for the respective entrance exams required for qualification.
Cut-offs are released professionally by the college authority category-wise. The candidates that meet the criteria are preferred for admission.
- B. Tech and B. Arch admission are based on the TNEA cut-offs released on the official website.
- For M. Tech and MCA, TANCET cut-offs are viewed while for M. Tech, GATE scores are preferred.
Similarly, candidates applying to any other courses must qualify for the cut-off of that respective examination. Although, admission to a few courses is based on merit.
