How to achieve a good rank in the NEET 2024 Exam?

What is NEET?

NEET(National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) Nearly about 1.5 million students appear in the NEET exam every year but lack experience and do not have proper guidance they didn’t clear the exam.

  • NEET is a national-level examination conducted by the NTA(National Testing Agency) in 2024 and onwards. Formerly it was conducted by CBSE(Central Board Of Secondary Education) from 2013 to 2023.
  • Who wishes to study undergraduate medical courses MBBS, BDS(Dental Courses)in India this exam is really important or you can say if a student wants to become a doctor and have a dream to study in medical colleges this exam is compulsory for all students.
  • NEET-UG is a single entrance test which is conducted by NTA for admission to more than 66,000 MBBS and BDS seats across India. The exam is available in Hindi, English, Gujarati, Tamil, and Bengali languages.

In 2020 the MHRD(ministry of Human Resources and Development) decided to conduct a single entrance test for all medical institutes it means that NEET covers all institute admission which are AIIMS(All India Institute of Medical Science), JIPMER, private medical colleges, and all Govt. colleges.

Exam Pattern:-

There are three sections Physics, Chemistry, Biology(Botany and Zoology). Physics and Chemistry contain equal weightage. The total no. of the question asked is 180. Each question contains equal marks which means each right question is awarded 4 marks. So we can say that the total numbers are 180*4=720 marks. There was a negative marking also every wrong answer deducted 1 mark. Physics and chemistry contain 45-45 questions and biology contains 90 questions. So the weightage of biology is much in the NEET exam. This is fair to say that the competition is tough if you think about getting a seat. In medical college, you must practice more and more. The syllabus is not so vast only class 11th and class 12th are considered in the NEET exam.

How Can I Achieve A Good Rank:-

First of all, to achieve a good rank is not a fruit that you easily eat. An honest and hard-working person can achieve a good rank these are the following methods by which you can do your best

  • Time management, revision and practice paper is the most important part of cracking any entrance examination. You should divide each part and then solve every part individually. Chemistry contains three parts 1. Physical chemistry. 2. Organic chemistry. 3. Inorganic chemistry.
  • You should cover inorganic chemistry and organic chemistry through NCERT. NCERT Is a Ramayana of NEET entrance exam I mean you should complete NCERT first. Biology is again a vast subject in NEET you should cover it through NCERT. Again physics is a good and many students think this is a tough subject but I think physics is a high-scoring subject. Many NEET aspirants didn’t focus on physics but this is a big mistake if you think that by doing biology and chemistry you achieve a good rank then it is an impossible task. You should give proper time in solving the physics questions.
  • Past year paper plays a major role in any entrance examination you should do past year paper. By doing this you have a proper idea about the NEET question difficulty.

Human beings tend to forget things in a proper duration of time but revision is the best technique to learn past things.

Doing practice papers also plays a major role in achieving a good rank. Short notes are a very important part of any study if you make short notes on every topic then you are aware of the chapters very quickly and you can revise the topic very quickly.

MBBS Abroad Should Be A Choice?

Indian students who want to become doctors and aid the lives of millions are most of the time left with no hope of getting into government medical colleges of the nation and the private medical colleges are costly.  Thus, they are left with no option but to look for MBBS abroad. Getting their MBBS degree from a foreign university helps them to fulfil their dreams at a reasonable price because most middle-class families cannot afford their child’s medical education in private colleges which costs between 50 lakh to 1 Cr. . Every parent has always wanted to give the best he/she has to their children. So MBBS abroad seems like the best option when it comes to balancing pocket and dreams.

  • As this COVID-19 has affected the nation. There are many concerns related to the medical sector in India. Doctors are getting improper security and care. You must have heard about the lack of healthcare workers in hospitals and many more things that present the imbalance in our healthcare sector.
  • With this, more than 20, 000 foreign medical graduates have written to the government to allow them to aid during the period of the pandemic without the mandatory FMGE examination, which they have to clear to be certified doctors in India.
  • The All India Foreign Medical Graduates Association has written to the President, Prime Minister, and also to the Health Ministry asking for the license to fight against coronavirus.

  • The letter consisted of the issue of a shortage of doctors in the country. This was the prime reason behind this letter and their urge to get along with the medical workforce and make it better. If we see the latest government figures then our country has 1 doctor for 1.457 citizens. This is the reason why these students who have done their MBBS from abroad, are seeking an exemption from the exam they have to give for being a certified doctor in India.
  • This appeal will have approximately 20,000 MBBS doctors and 3,000 specialists in the current medical workforce. However, there is no reply from either side. Even the Health Ministry, as well as the Medical Council of India, have not answered their letter. All we can do is wait and watch. Let us see what the government has to say regarding this. What is your opinion on it?
