About Faculty of Management Studies –
The Business Today 2022 has Faculty of Management Studies, Delhi, also referred to as FMS Delhi, as the ninth-best business school in India. It was created in 1954 on the Delhi School of Economics campus. It has National Assessment and Accreditation Council accreditation (NAAC). An MBA programme is offered at FMS New Delhi for two years. In addition, FMS Delhi provides PG-level MBA Executive and MBA Executive (Health Care Administration) programmes. It is a founding member of the Association of Management Development Institutions in South Asia and has ties to the University of Delhi (AMDISA). Additionally, it supports numerous regional management cooperation programmes.
When it comes to 2022 FMS placements, it draws numerous industry behemoths from all across India, including, to name a few, HDFC Bank, Jubiliant, ITC, InfoEdge IBM, Accenture, and KPMG. The maximum salary offered by FMS Delhi this year was nearly same to that of last year, or INR 58 LPA.
In addition to corporate management, the Faculty of Management Studies focuses on management education. The dedication entails thinking leadership combined with an in-depth knowledge of business. With a focus on concepts and theory, the pedagogical approach includes fieldwork, case studies, and instrumented feedback. The goal is to promote intellectual curiosity and wide-open minds to the intellectual adventure.
But there are many aspects of the school that go beyond what is taught there. FMS has the distinct honour of being affiliated with the University of Delhi, one of the top universities in the world, which has some of the best departments for operations research, economics, law, and sociology. Their collaborative method incorporates contributions from multiple departments, which benefits from a much broader perspective and better knowledge. This is demonstrated by the success of alumni who hold senior roles in businesses and governments around the world. Students have unrivalled access to knowledge, mentors, and opportunities because to the network of more than 10,000 alumni.
Faculty of management studies strives to promote self-improvement, the instillation of ethics and values, the development of leadership potential and skills, conscious participation in larger systems through CSR, empowerment through participatory power, and transparent and ethical governance.
Faculty of Management Studies Placement –
For the 2022–24 batch, FMS Delhi’s summer placements drive saw a 100% placement rate. Additionally, the highest and most common stipends for the 2022–24 summer placements at FMS Delhi were INR 4.4 lakh and INR 3.02 lakh, respectively. In addition, during the FMS Delhi summer placements for the 2022–24 class, 89 firms paid visits to the campus and 311 offers were made.
Previously, during the FMS Delhi placements 2022, 257 out of a total of 269 students were placed, and 12 students chose not to participate or took a placement holiday. In 2022, the average package available through FMS Delhi was INR 32.4 LPA. In addition, the top and median compensation packages during the 2022 Faculty of Management Studies Delhi placements were INR 58 LPA and INR 30 LPA, respectively. Additionally, 107 organisations took part in the FMS Delhi placements 2022, and 262 offers were given. Pre-placement Offers (PPOs) were made at the FMS Delhi placements in 2022, and 65 of them PPOs were accepted.
Faculty of Management Studies Facilities –
Library :- Over 50,000 books, 100 national and international magazines, CDs, and videos covering a wide range of management, current events, business, banking, and accounting study topics are available in the FMS library. The Ratan Tata Library, which houses a collection of more than 200,000 books, is also open to students.
Hostel :- The University of Delhi’s Post Graduate Hostels offer housing options for students enrolled in the MBA (Full-Time) Program. Basic amenities like water purifiers, common areas, game rooms, mess halls, laundry facilities, security and surveillance systems, etc. are provided in hostels.
Sports:- Students accepted to FMS have full access to the North Campus sports complex, which includes the Rugby 7s arena operated by Delhi University. The stadium, which is 10,000 square metres (110,000 square feet) in size, can hold 2,500 people permanently and 7,500 people temporarily. Prior to the 2010 Commonwealth Games, the facility opened in July 2010 after construction work had started in 2008 and included training facilities for women’s wrestling, boxing, netball, and athletics.
The Management Fest (Fiesta) and the Cultural & Sports Fest (Elysium) are both held independently by FMS, the only business school that does so. As an affiliate of the University of Delhi, FMS has access to the athletic facilities at other Delhi University colleges like Hindu College, University of Delhi, Delhi School of Economics, and Shri Ram College of Commerce during the sports festival.
Faculty of Management Studies Ranking –
- According to the Times B School Survey 2021, the Faculty of Management Studies at MRIIRS is one of the top six private universities, ranking number seven among business schools in the North Region, and number seventeen among the top 100 business schools.
- In the 6th edition of the National HRD Network and Shine.com rankings for 2018–19, FMS, Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies was listed among the Top 50 B schools in the nation.
- The Business India B-School survey 2017–18 placed FMS among the top 40 B-Schools in India.
- Business World ranks FMS 74th among the Top Private Business Schools in India (2017).
- In 2017, Careers 360 gave FMS a rating of AAA among the Top Business Schools in Haryana.
- Recognised India Today as one of the Top-50 B-Schools in 2017.
- In the rankings published by The Week in 2017, it was ranked 30 in the Top B-Schools Non-Govt. North Zone and 20 among the Top B-Schools Delhi-NCR.
Faculty of Management Studies Scholarship –
- The top 10 students in each management year will be nominated for a scholarship test.
- First-year students: At the time of admission, the college takes into account entrance exam ranking.
- Scholarships for second, third, and fourth year students are awarded depending on their academic performance from the previous year.
