Addmission - 2026 (Indian Institute of Space Science and Te...)

Admission to IIST is done based on the national-level entrance exams. For B.Tech, candidates have to qualify for JEE Advanced and apply through the IIST admission portal. M.Tech/MS requires a valid GATE score. Ph.D. requires a valid GATE score, UGC NET, or JEST, followed by an interview. The shortlisting will be done based on entrance exam scores, academic performance, and eligibility criteria. Selected candidates undergo counseling and seat allocation before confirming admission by paying the required fees. Top-ranking students may receive direct placement opportunities in ISRO.

1. Eligibility – Candidates must meet educational qualifications and age criteria.

2. Entrance Exam – Admission to B.Tech programs is based on JEE Advanced scores. For M.Tech/Ph.D., GATE, JEST, UGC-NET, or an institute-specific test is required.

3. Application – Apply online through the IIST admission portal during the specified period.

4. Shortlisting & Rank List – Based on exam scores, a merit list is published.

5. Counseling & Seat Allotment – Shortlisted candidates are invited for counseling and seat allocation.
