Admission to IIST is done based on the national-level entrance exams. For B.Tech, candidates have to qualify for JEE Advanced and apply through the IIST admission portal. M.Tech/MS requires a valid GATE score. Ph.D. requires a valid GATE score, UGC NET, or JEST, followed by an interview. 4. Shortlisting & Rank List – Based on exam scores, a merit list is published.

5. Counseling & Seat Allotment – Shortlisted candidates are invited for counseling and seat allocation.

6. Fee Payment & Admission Confirmation – Selected candidates must pay fees and complete document verification to confirm admission.
