The Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST), Thiruvananthapuram, was established in 2007 by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) under the Department of Space, Government of India. It is India’s first space-focused academic institution offering undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in space science, engineering, and technology.
