Chandigarh University has announced a 10% reservation of seats in all the UG & PG programs offered at its campus for the wards of COVID-19 Warriors for Academic Session 2020-21. Financial Assistance for Wards for COVID-19 Warriors Scholarship worth INR 5 Crores would be disbursed under the COVID-19 Warriors Scholarship Scheme to the wards of such national heroes who would be seeking admission to any programs offered by Chandigarh University. The scholarship will be offered to students in more than 135 Under-Graduate and Post-Graduate programs offered by the University; where the meritorious student on the basis of CUCET-2022 scores can avail scholarships upto 100% in the academic fees. Single Girl Child Concession:- CU provides 10% concession on yearly fee to single girl child for entire duration of the course. Teacher’s Ward Concession:- CU provides 10% concession on yearly fee to the wards of teachers for entire duration of the course. (Teachers of Govt. / Govt. recognized schools/ colleges/ universities) provided a teacher should have at least one year regular service. Sibling Concession:- The University offers 10% concession on yearly fee to one of the siblings studying in any institute of CU, till the time both the siblings are studying in the university. Concession to Girl Sibling:- CU provides 10% concession on yearly fee to both female siblings for entire duration of the course. For Orphan Candidates:- 20% of concession will be given and in case of Single Parent, 10% of concession is already applicable. Covid Warrior Scheme:- CU has introduced a new scholarship scheme i.e. “COVID WARRIOR SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME” for the students admitted during Academic Session 2022-23. This scheme will be applicable for those students whose parents are regular employees of the above organizations. In this scheme, the University will provide 10% concession on the Academic Fees. Alumni Scholarship:2 10% concession will also be allowed to the real brother/ sister/spouse/Wards of the alumni student of this university Condition for Continuation of Other Concession: The students admitted under all the above said schemes, having passed the regular semester exam in first chance (with NO “E”, “F”, “I” or “Not Qualified” grades) are eligible for continuation of concession. Scholarship Scheme for Wards of Defence Personnel for the Academic Year 2022-23 As a gesture of appreciation and salutation to our Defence forces who are always there to protect our borders and our lives, CU has devised a Reservation cum Fee Waiver Scheme for Defence Personnel, wards and their spouse. This scheme is also a part of our social responsibility towards special sections of our society. Concession under Armed Forces Educational Welfare Scheme (AFEWS) for Wards/Spouse of Defence Personnels Wards and spouse of different categories of Defence personnel admitted under the above scheme will also be given benefit of free -ship in prescribed semester fee. 5% seats in all courses of Chandigarh University shall be reserved for the wards and spouses of Defence Martyrs and their immediate dependent members. Early Bird Scholarship For PG Students For The Academic Year 2022-23 The Scholarship will be available to the graduate students for admission in all the Master’s level program of Chandigarh University (excluding MBA), for the 2022-23 session as per the following condition- 15% Scholarship to be given to the students who have completed Bachelor’s degree from Chandigarh University. 10 % Scholarship to the students who have completed their Bachelor’s degree from other Universities.
