Admission to Govind Ballabh Pant University in 2024 offers two pathways: merit-based selection and entrance exam-based selection for various courses.

For undergraduate programs, applicants must have passed their 10+2 examinations from a recognized board with a minimum aggregate of 50% for merit-based admission. Additionally, they need to score at least 50% in their 10+2 exams. Postgraduate applicants must secure a 1st division.

Specific entrance exams such as JEE for B.Tech., GATE for M.Tech., and exams like nm,./ MAT/ XAT for MBA are mandatory for respective admissions.

Postgraduate applicants should have scored at least 55% in their bachelor's degree from a recognized university.

Registration with the university is the first step for all applicants, which typically begins a month before the commencement of the admission process.

For postgraduate courses like M.Sc., M.Sc Home Sc., and M.V.Sc., admission is based on the applicant's scores in their bachelor's degree.

A final merit list will be published for selected students across various courses.
