Established in July 2012 by Act no. 6 of 2012 of the Government of Punjab, which was notified under Punjab Government Gazette (Extraordinary) dated July 10, 2012 under Punjab Private Universities policy 2010, Adesh University, Bathinda is the flagship academic and research endeavor of Adesh Foundation, a pioneer in health care, medical, and technical education. With the goal of serving humanity in the fields of healthcare and medical, paramedical, and technical education, the parent organization, the Adesh Foundation, was founded in Sri Muktsar Sahib, an impoverished area of Southern Punjab, in 1995 under Registration No. 618 of 1995-1996 (Registered under Societies' Registration Act XXI, 1860).

 

With the founding of the Adesh Institute of Engineering and Technology in Faridkot in 1996 to offer a variety of undergraduate and graduate level programs in the field of technical education, the Adesh Foundation began its adventure in the fields of professional education and healthcare. Under the name Bhai Maha Singh College of Engineering, Muktsar, the Foundation opened a second-tier university in honour of the martyrs of Sri Muktsar Sahib in 2002.

Since its founding, the ADESH FOUNDATION has grown quickly thanks to the introduction of cutting-edge, professional courses in management, allied health sciences, medical sciences, and technical education. Given that the Foundation was found to possess the capacity to carry out and implement research and innovation initiatives.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • MBBS and BDS Programs:

    • Candidates must have completed 10+2 in the Science stream.

  • BPT Program:

    • Applicants are eligible if they have secured 50% marks in their 10+2 exam.

  • B.Sc. Courses:

    • Minimum eligibility requires passing 10+2 with at least 45% marks.

  • B.Pharm. Courses:

    • Applicants must pass 10+2 with a minimum of 40% marks.

  • BLISc (Bachelor of Library and Information Science):

    • Any candidate with a valid graduation degree in any field is considered eligible.

  • MD/MS Programs:

    • Candidates who have successfully completed the MBBS degree course are eligible.

    • Admission is handled through NEET-PG.

  • M.Sc. Programs:

    • Applicants need a minimum of 50% marks in their B.Sc. degree.

  • Pharm D Program:

    • Admission is open to HSC (Higher Secondary Certificate) graduates who have completed Physics and Mathematics as required courses.

  • Ph.D. Programs:

    • Candidates are eligible if they have earned at least 55% in an MD, MDS, or M.Sc. in a relevant field.

    • Admission is conducted through university entrance exams and interviews.
