JEE Main 2024 Exam Syllabus | Physics | Chemistry | Mathematics

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Exam Date, and the agency has made some changes to the syllabus. JEE Mains is one of the competitive, national-level entrance exams. NTA holds this exam for admission to various Engineering Courses in NITs and IITs. To gain admission to IITs and NITs, it is mandatory to clear the JEE exam.

The JEE Main Exam is conducted in Online mode or Computer-based test. Every year, more than lakhs of students register themselves for the exam. The exam is held in 2 sessions.

The duration of JEE Main 2024 is 3 hours. The exam will be held in different cities across India and conducted in more than 250 centers in India and 20 centers outside India. This year, NTA has added Abu Dhabi as a new exam center for JEE Main 2024. The JEE Main exam will commence from 24th January 2024 to 1st February 2024. The syllabus has also been released with a few changes by NTA, and applicants can download the pdf file of the syllabus through their official website jeemain.nta.ac.in

This year, the authority has reduced the syllabus of Class 9 to 12 from NCERT, CBSE board, and various state boards.

JEE Main Exam pattern

The Difficulty level of the exam is moderate to high. The question paper contains MCQ-type questions and Questions and Answers.

The syllabus contains 3 papers,

> Paper 1 for BE/B.Tech includes Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics of classes 11 and 12.

> Paper 2A for B.Arch includes Mathematics, General Aptitude, and Drawing Tests.

> Paper 2B for B.Plan includes Mathematics, General Aptitude, and Planning.

• For attempting every correct answer, applicants will get 1 mark for each question.
• For attempting every wrong answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted.
• For unattempted more than 8 questions, 0.10 marks will be removed.

JEE Main 2024 Syllabus 

The exam has 3 papers 

> Paper 1 to take admission in BE/B.Tech Courses.

> Paper 2A to take admission in B.Arch courses.

> Paper 2B to take admission in B plan courses.

• From paper 1, 90 questions will be asked and contain Mathematics and Aptitude Computer-based tests. 
• From paper 2A, 82 questions will be asked and contain the Planning section Computer based test.
• From paper 2B, 105 questions will be asked, containing drawing test pen and paper mode.
