Maulana Azad University Admission Highlights 2023
Maulana Azad University, Jodhpur is committed to providing quality education to all meritorious students, irrespective of their financial status. In line with this commitment, the University has formulated a Philanthropy and Scholarship Policy to support various categories of students, including meritorious students, financially needy students, children of military personnel, and single parent families. This policy is to guarantee that one student is deprived of financial restriction education. The final declaration of the scholarship is the president's discretion.
Scholarship Categories:
1. Merit Scholarship:
This scholarship is awarded to students who have demonstrated excellent academic performance in previous examinations. - Eligibility criteria may include maintaining a certain grade point average or scoring at or above a certain percentile on an entrance exam. - Merit scholarships cover part or all of the tuition fees depending on the level of academic achievement. - Students obtaining 90% or more marks in the higher secondary examinations are entitled to a 50% reduction on the prescribed fees.
2. Financially Poor Scholarship:
The scholarships are for students from financially dysfunctional families. -The right to participate is determined based on family income, and students in low -income households are given preference. - Scholarships can cover tuition fees, living expenses and other basic costs. - Public school students are entitled to a direct 20% reduction in tuition fees in the needy category.
3. Armed Forces Scholarships:
This scholarship honors the sacrifices made by military families and aims to support their educational aspirations. - It may cover a percentage of tuition or provide financial assistance to cover other educational expenses. - Students who have completed military service can get scholarships ranging from 10% to 50% for various courses. - In addition, two seats are reserved in each course for Vir Naris wards, widows, disabled persons, ESM military personnel, and active military personnel/veterans.
4. Single Parent Scholarship:
This scholarship is available to students who are being raised by a single parent or guardian due to various circumstances such as divorce, death, abandonment, etc. - The purpose of this program is to ease the financial burden on single-parent families and give their children the opportunity to pursue higher education. - To receive assistance, you may need to provide documentation proving that you are a single parent.
Application and Selection Process:
Interested students must apply for scholarships. - Each scholarship category will have specific eligibility criteria and documentation requirements. - A scholarship committee made up of university faculty and administrators will review the applications and select recipients based on merit and need. - Shortlisted candidates may be required to attend an interview or submit additional documents for verification. - The final selection of scholarship recipients will be made on the basis of the committee's evaluation.
Renewal and Continuation:
The scholarship may be renewed annually depending on the recipient's academic performance and compliance with the university regulations. - Renewal criteria may include maintaining a minimum grade point average, satisfactory conduct, and enrollment in a full-time program. - Recipients are encouraged to actively participate in university activities and make a positive contribution to the academic community. Additionally, in addition to scholarships, there are a number of places reserved for each category in all council courses

To get admission into a doctoral program at MAU, applicants must pass an entrance exam.
