CSIR NET 2024 Admit card | Important Dates | Application fees

The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research  National Eligibility Test (CSIR NET) is one of the competitive, national-level entrance exams held for the hiring of candidates for the Post of  Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF). The CSIR NET contains a total of 5 subjects including paper 1 and paper 2.

The subjects are

1. Earth, Atmosphere, Ocean, and Planetary Sciences.
2. Chemical Sciences 
3. Life Sciences
4. Mathematical Sciences 
5. Physical Sciences

The CSIR NET Admit Card is going to be released very soon by NTA, candidates can easily download the admit card through the official website at csirnet.nta.nic.in

The candidates who have qualified for the exam are eligible to gain the position of Assistant Professor and also can become research scholars. The CSIR Exam is conducted in online mode or computer-based test. Lakhs of candidates appear for CSIR NET every yeae

The duration of CSIR NET is 3 hours, and the exam will be conducted in two shifts: morning shift from 09:30 am to 12:30 pm and evening shift from 02:30 pm to 05:30 pm.

The CSIR NET Exam Will commence on 26th December 2023.

Application fees

The application fees for the candidates will be Rs.1,100 for General and EWS category candidates Rs.550 for OBC candidates and Rs.275 for SC, ST, and PwD Candidates.

How to apply

• Applicants need to visit the official website of NTA.
• Candidates need to select the CSIR NET link and apply.
• After applying applicants need to register themselves with their Mobile number and email ID.
• After successful registration, a login account of the candidate will be created.
• Now, candidates need to log in and upload all the required documents such as passport size photo and signature, and academic details.
• After successful uploading of all the documents, candidates need to pay the application fee.
• After successful registration applicants need to take a printout of the application form.

Admit Card Download Process

• To download the admit card candidates need to visit the official website of NTA.
• After visiting the official website applicants need to enter their valid enrollment number and password.
• After the login candidates portal will open, now click the hall ticket download link.
• Click the link, download the admit card, and take a printout of it.

Eligibility 

• Applicants must clear post-graduation from a recognized board with an aggregate of 55% and 50% for SC, ST, and PwD Candidates.
• Working/ Service Candidates are also eligible.
• Applicants must be citizens of India.
• Candidates who are in their final year are not eligible.
• There is no age limit or number of attempts for the candidates

Exam pattern

The Difficulty level of the exam is moderate to high. The question paper contains MCQ-type questions which include three sections part A, part B, and part C, a total of 610 questions will be asked out of which 310 questions need to be attempted by the candidates. which includes Teaching and Research Aptitude and paper 2 contains subject-type questions.

> For attempting every correct answer applicants will have 2 marks for each question.

> For attempting the wrong answer 25% marks will be deducted.

> For unattempted questions, no marks will be deducted.
