XAT 2024 Admit card is going to be released | XAT Exam pattern | Syllabus

Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT), is one of the competitive, national-level entrance exams to get admission to MBA and PGDM programs. More than 1000 B-Schools also accept the score of this exam to provide admission to PG Management courses.

XAT 2024 is held by XLRI, Jamshedpur for admission to PG Management courses under various specializations. For more than 70 years the XAT Exam has been conducted by XLRI on behalf of XAMI. The authorities have declared the release date of the Admit card, candidates need to carry the admit card while appearing for the exam.

The XAT Exam is conducted in Online mode or Computer based test. Every year more than lakhs of students register themselves for the exam.

Important Dates

• The issue of Admit cards in online mode will begin on 20th December 2023. 
• The XAT exam will commence from 7th January 2024.
• The result of the exam will be released on 20th January 2024.

Application fees

The application fee for XAT 2024 is Rs.2000 and Rs.200 is needed for extra XLRI programs.

For Foreign candidates, the application fee is Rs.5000.

How to Download Admit Card

• To download the admit card candidates need to visit the official website online.in
• After visiting the official website applicants need to enter their valid enrollment number and password.
• After the login candidates portal will open, now click the hall ticket download link.
• Click the link, download the admit card, and take a printout of it.
• It is also very necessary for the candidates to check the details on the admit card whether the details are correct or not.

Eligibility 

• Candidates who are going to appear for XAT 2024 need to be qualified from an approved Undergraduate course in any technical program or from any other nontechnical program such as Commerce, Science, or Arts.
• Overseas candidates are also eligible with a proper GMAT score.
• Candidates who are in their final year or have done bachelor"s degree are also eligible.
• Working/ Service Candidates are also eligible.
• There is no age limit or number of attempts for the candidates.

XAT Exam pattern

The Difficulty level of the exam is moderate to high. The question paper contains MCQ-type questions, and Essay type questions.

A total number of 100 questions will be given and the applicants will get 210 minutes to complete the paper. The exam has 3 sections A, B, and C, for section A 175 minutes will be given 5 minutes for Section B and 30 Minutes for Section C.

> For attempting every correct answer applicants will get 1 mark for each question.

> For attempting every wrong answer 0.25 marks will be deducted.

> For unattempted more than 8 questions, 0.10 marks will be deducted.

Syllabus 

The exam has 3 Sections

Decision-making, Verbal and logical ability, data interpretation, and Quantitative ability.

Mock keyboard testing.

General Awareness and essay writing.

• From Decision making 22 questions will be asked for 22 marks.
• From verbal and logical ability 26 questions will be asked for 26 marks.
• From data interpretation and quantitative ability 28 questions will be asked for 28 marks.
• From General Awareness 25 questions will be asked for 25 marks.
• For essay writing, candidates will be given 3 topics and they need to write about 250 words on any one of the given 3 topics.
