1.What is the structure of the CAT question paper?

Since 2014, there have been only two sections and the CAT question paper structure has been maintained ever since. Quantitative Aptitude was integrated with Data Interpretation while Logical Reasoning was integrated with Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension. In 2015, Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning were clubbed together and Quantitative Aptitude and Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension constituted two separate sections. Since 2015, sectional segregation has not changed but the number of questions have reduced from 100 to 66. Duration of the exam also has been brought down. Till 2019, CAT exam was of 180 minutes and total number of questions were 100. In 2020, due to COVID-19 pandemic, the question paper structure was revised. Reduced the number of questions to 76 in 2020. Reduced the number of questions to 66 in 2021 and 2022. CAT conducted for the last two years over 2 hours, and the number of questions is 66.


2.Can I get into the Masters" Union School of Business without a CAT?

At Masters" Union School of Business, admission is not restricted solely based on CAT, it depends on the institute"s admission criteria. Many of the institutes are accepting both students with CAT and students without CAT, but it is preferred that you complete your CAT exam. Masters" Union School of Business will accept GMAT or GRE as admission criteria or application criteria. And, a candidate is required to complete 10+2 from a recognised board. 

 

3. What are the important topics for the NIFT Syllabus for CAT and GAT?

The NIFT written exam consists of the Creative Ability Test (CAT) and the General Ability Test (GAT). Candidates for both B. Des and M. Des courses need to appear for both the CAT and GAT exams while candidates for all other courses only need those tests.
