MAT 2024 Syllabus 

1. Language Comprehension:

Reading Comprehension: Sections that include self-check questions to determine readers’ comprehension and analysis of the text.

Vocabulary: Vocabulary tests which involve questions such as matching words that are on the same part of speech as well as identification of synonyms, antonyms, and the meanings of words.

Grammar: These include the areas of concern such as; Sentence correction, Error detection and grammar based questions.

Language Skills: For the purpose of comprehension and language skills the questions asked were sentence completion, analogy and para-jumbles.

2. Mathematical Skills:

Arithmetic: Area, percentage, profit and loss, ratio & proportion, time and work, Ages and Compound interests.

Algebra: Linear equations, quadratic equations and, inequalities.

Geometry: Concepts of geometry as related to lines, angles, triangles and circles.

Mensuration: Measurement of the area; measurement of the volume; measurement of the surface area of various shapes.

Data Interpretation: The following are some of the types of displays: Graphs, tables, and charts; Bar graphs, pie charts, line graphs among others.

3. Data Analysis and Sufficiency:

Data Analysis: Overview of deriving meaning from data that is in different type, form or format.

Data Sufficiency: Making a decision on whether the given data alone is enough to answer questions or solve certain problems.

4. Intelligence and Critical Reasoning:

Logical Reasoning: Grouping of number and letters in sequences, completing an established arithmetic progression, completing a pattern in number or alphabet that is, series completion, analogies.

Critical Reasoning: Claims and reasons, premises and expectations, and stated and implied generalizations.

Analytical Reasoning: Eg. Impromptu quizzes, chairs and tables formations, especially questions based on figures and statistics.

5. Indian and Global Environment:

Current Affairs: Current affairs referring to latest political, economical, sports or any other important information.

General Knowledge: Historical, geographical and cultural the and the of India and the of the world.

Business Awareness: Essentials of management, microeconomics and macroeconomics and/or international business.
