JEE Mains 2024 Admit Card | Important Dates | Syllabus | JEE Main Exam pattern

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is going to release the admit card for the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE). JEE Mains is one of the competitive, national-level entrance exams. This exam is held by NTA for admission to various Engineering Courses in NITs and IITs. To gain admission to IITs and NIt it is mandatory to clear the JEE exam.

The JEE Main Exam is conducted in Online mode or Computer-based test. Every year more than lakhs of students registered themselves for the exam. The exam is held in 2 sessions. The Admit card for the 1st session will be released on 20th January 2024.

The duration of JEE Main 2024 is 3 hours. The exam will be held in different cities across India, the exam will be conducted in more than 250 centers in India and 20 centers outside India. This year NTA has added Abu Dhabi as a new exam centre for JEE Main 2024.

Important Dates

The exam will be held in two session

Session 1

• The announcement of exam centers of the candidates will be provided on 17th January 2024
• Tentatively the issue of Admit cards in online mode will start from 20th January 2024.
• The JEE Main exam will commence from 24th January 2024 to 1st February 2024.
• The result of the exam will be released on 12th February 2024.

Session 2

• Tentatively the registration of candidates will start from 1st week of March 2024.
• The last date for the registration of candidates is the last week of March 2024.
• Correction of candidates" applications will commence from March last week or April 1st week 2024.
• Tentatively the issue of Admit cards in online mode will be given 3 days before the start of the examination. 
• The JEE Main exam will commence from 1st April 2024 to 15th April 2024.
• The exam results will be released in the last week of April 2024.

Application  fees
The application fee for JEE Main 2024 is Rs.1000 for General candidates, EWS, and OBC candidates.

For Foreign candidates, the application fee is Rs.5000.

The application fee for SC/ST and PwD Candidates is Rs.500 and for Foreign candidates, the fee will be 2,500.

How to Download Admit Card

• To download the admit card, candidates need to visit the official website.
• After visiting the official website applicants need to enter their valid enrollment number and password.
• After the login candidates portal will open, now click the hall ticket download link.
• Click the link, download the admit card, and take a printout of it.

Eligibility 

• Candidates who are going to appear for JEE Main 2024 need to be qualified from an approved Undergraduate course in any technical program.
• Candidates who have cleared higher secondary exams with compulsory subjects such as physics, chemistry, mathematics, or biology.
• Overseas candidates are also eligible with a proper final score.
• Candidates in their final year or who have a bachelor"s degree are also eligible.
• There is no age limit and 6 attempts for the candidates.

JEE Main Exam pattern

The Difficulty level of the exam is moderate to high. The question paper contains MCQ-type questions and Questions and Answers

A total number of 90 questions will be given for BE/B. Tech Courses for B.Arch 82 questions will be asked and for B. Planning 105 questions will be asked and the applicants will get 3 hours to complete the paper. The exam has 3 parts A, B, and C, for section A 175 minutes will be given 5 minutes for Section B, and 30 Minutes for Section C.

> For attempting every correct answer applicants will get 1 mark for each question.

> For attempting every wrong answer 0.25 marks will be deducted.

> For unattempted more than 8 questions, 0.10 marks will be deducted.

Syllabus 

The exam has 3 papers 

Paper 1 to take admission in BE/B.Tech Courses.

Paper 2A to take admission in B.Arch courses.

Paper 2B to take admission in B plan courses.

From paper 1, 90 questions will be asked and contain Mathematics and Aptitude Computer-based tests. 

From paper 2A, 82 questions will be asked and contain the Planning section Computer based test.

From paper 2B, 105 questions will be asked and contain drawing test pen and paper mode.
