The MAT 2023 exam is conducted in three modes: IBT (Internet-Based Test), CBT (Computer-Based Test), and PBT (Paper-Based Test).

The question paper is divided into five distinct sections: Language Comprehension, Intelligence & Critical Reasoning, Data Analysis and Sufficiency, Mathematical Skills, and Indian and Global Environment. Each section comprises 40 multiple-choice questions, resulting in a total of 200 questions. The total time duration for the examination is 150 minutes.

Candidates are awarded one mark for each correct answer, while 0.25 marks are deducted for each incorrect response.
