Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU) offers a broad spectrum of academic courses in a number of disciplines. Undergraduate (UG) courses are Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.), Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com), Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA), Bachelor of Education (B.Ed), and Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed). Postgraduate (PG) courses are Master of Arts (MA), Master of Science (M.Sc.), Master of Commerce (M.Com), Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Computer Management (MCM), and Master of Physical Education (M.P.Ed). The university also offers specialist courses like Bachelor of Journalism and Communication, Bachelor of Vocational Studies, and various M.Phil. and Ph.D. courses in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Pharmaceutical Sciences.

RTMNU's academic structure is organized into many faculties, including Arts & Humanities, Science, Commerce, Education, Engineering & Technology, Law, Medicine, Ayurveda, and Social Sciences. The university consists of 39 postgraduate departments of instruction and two constituent colleges: the College of Education and the Law College.
