Hassan Institute of Medical Sciences (HIMS), Hassan, provides undergraduate and postgraduate medical courses aimed at providing students with in-depth knowledge and clinical skills. The undergraduate flagship course is the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) with a duration of 5.5 years, with a one-year mandatory rotating internship. Eligibility Criteria:

 

  • Passing 10+2 or equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as subjects.

 

  • Minimum 50% marks in aggregate (40% for reserved categories).

 

  • Candidate should be 17 years old by December 31st of the year of admission.

 

Entrance Exam:

 

  • Admission on the basis of NEET-UG score.

 

  • Candidates need to appear in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) and obtain a cutoff mark.

 

Counseling:

 

  • Candidates who are eligible in NEET-UG get admission through counseling organized by Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA).
