However, candidates with valid scores from MAT, GMAT, CAT, XAT, ATMA, or NMAT are exempted from taking the GAT. While candidates meeting eligibility criteria through other Management Entrance exams can directly proceed to the Personal Interview (PI), they also have the option to appear for the GAT to qualify for scholarships.

The selection process unfolds in two phases:

In Phase 1, candidates who have taken the GAT or possess valid CAT/MAT/GMAT/XAT/NMAT/ATMA scores and have applied to GITAM School of Business are shortlisted. Phase 2 :This stage includes group discussions, personal interviews, and other qualitative assessments as integral components of the evaluation process.
