Government Erode Medical College and Hospital (GEMCH), Erode, provides a strong academic course package in medical science. At the undergraduate level, the college offers the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) course with an annual admission intake of 100 students on the basis of NEET-UG marks. The course lasts 5.5 years with one year compulsory rotating internship. The college is well-furnished with state-of-the-art laboratories, clinical training units, and a teaching hospital to support extensive medical education.
Postgraduate, GEMCH now provides MD courses in General Surgery and Dermatology with future intentions of increasing into more specialties.
