Courses & Fees - 2026 (Goverment Medical College, Bhavnagar)

Government Medical College, Bhavnagar has a variety of medical education courses for both undergraduate and postgraduate candidates. The most premier course is Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) with an annual intake of approximately 200 students. MBBS course is designed for 5.5 years with one year of mandatory rotating internship. Admission is strictly on the basis of the national-level NEET-UG exam performance. The curriculum has emphasis on sound foundations in basic sciences, clinical sciences, and public health, and students are suitably trained to address healthcare issues.

 

The college also offers postgraduate (MD/MS) courses in specialities of General Medicine, General Surgery, Pediatrics, Orthopedics, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pathology, Microbiology, and Anesthesiology. They are extremely competitive with NEET-PG admissions. Diploma courses in some clinical and para-clinical subjects are also offered.
