Hostel - 2025 (Goverment Medical College, Bhavnagar)

Government Medical College (GMC), Bhavnagar provides economical hostel facilities to its students. The hostel fee per year is around ₹1,200 for boys as well as girls, which is a reasonable charge for students seeking medical education. Rooms will be shared by 2 to 3 students and are equipped with minimum facilities like beds, study tables, chairs, wardrobes, ceiling fans, and tube lights.  The hostel facilities include 24/7 water and electricity supply, RO-filtered drinking water, and common areas for dining and recreation. Additionally, the hostel premises are secured with round-the-clock security personnel.​ 

 

The hostel infrastructure comprises multiple buildings catering to different student categories. For instance, the Maharshi Charak Boys Medical Hostel is a three-storied building with 50 rooms, each accommodating two students.  There are also special hostel accommodations for undergraduate girls, interns, and postgraduate students, with varying room configurations ranging from single to four-sharing. Whereas some hostels have inbuilt mess facilities, others make use of common dining spaces or external mess services. In general, GMC Bhavnagar's hostel facilities are geared towards providing a comfortable and conducive living space for its students.
