Institute of Rural Management Anand, a private institute, situated in Gujarat prominently known as IRMA, was laid out in 1979. IRMA was established by Dr. Verghese Kurien, a prestigious known as the 'Milkman of India'. Dr. Verghese Kurien established IRMA Anand fully supported by different associations and bodies, including the Swiss Agency for Development Corporation (SDC), The National Dairy Development Board (NDDB), and the Government of India, among others.

The Institute offers postgraduate and doctoral-level programs in Management. It offers PGDM Rural Management, Executive PGDM, and other managerial courses. IRM has tie-ups with various national and international business sectors and PSUs along with various multinational agencies to put some knowledge into research programs.

  • Candidates who want to be admitted in IRMA need to appear for an CAT/XAT/CMAT or GMAT/GRE or UGC-JRF/NET or CSIR-JRF/NET or ICAR-SRF of ICAR/ASRB-NET or GATE
  • Shortlisted aspirants will be called for Personal Meeting and writing test.
  • Last choice will comprise of PI and Merits along with research papers.

IRMA gives 20 legitimacy-based grants worth INR. 1.17 crore for the understudies of Post Graduate Certificate in Administration (Rustic Administration). Out of the 20 scholarships,10 would be granted to the general pool and 10 would be granted solely to female up-and-comers.
