Ashoka Institute of Nursing, Patiala- Admission process

1. Eligibility Check:

  • Applicants should confirm that they fulfil the requirements for the particular degree for which they are applying (GNM, B.Sc. Nursing, or Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing).
  • While GNM applicants can apply after completing 10+2 in any stream, candidates for B.Sc. Nursing must have completed 10+2 with science subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English).

2. Application Submission: 

  • Get the application form from the admission office or the institute's official website.
  • Complete the application by providing the necessary academic and personal information.
  • Send in the application form and any required supporting documentation, such as grade reports, identification, passport-sized photos, and any other certificates.

3. Entrance Exam (if applicable): 

  • For admission to B.Sc. Nursing programs, some nursing schools may administer an entrance exam or take into account state-level entrance exams. 

4. Counselling and Interview: 

  • Depending on their academic standing or entrance exam results, shortlisted applicants can be invited for an interview or counselling session.
  • Candidates must select their preferred course and validate supporting documentation during counselling.

5. Merit-Based Selection: 

  • Admission is often determined by merit, taking into account entrance exam results, if any, and grades earned in 10+2 or GNM (for Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing).

6. Admission Confirmation: 

  • Following selection, candidates will get an admission offer letter.
  • To guarantee a seat, pay the necessary admission costs within the allotted time.

7. Medical Fitness: 

  • To confirm that they are healthy enough to enrol in the nursing program, candidates must provide a medical fitness certificate.
