VBS Admission Process:

The admission process within Vivekanand Business School (VBS) seeks to select students with a solid educational background, leadership capability, and ambition for success within the business community.  The following is a step-by-step description of VBS' admission process.

Eligibility Criteria: Candidates should hold a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized university. Candidates who are working towards degree completion may also apply, while counting on resolution to degree conditions prior to the academic year beginning.

Selection Exam: Candidates are required to have the suitable scores from any of the accepted, national level selection examination (i.e., CAT, XAT, MAT, CMAT, ECT). Select exam results are the primary criteria for candidates after the screening process is completed.

Application Process: Candidates interested in applying should initiate an online application, through the VBS application,  which will also include academic documents, exam scores, and any other document prescribed.

Shortlisting Process: Candidates are screened based on the exam results and academic performance, selected candidates will be short-listed. 

Group Discussion (GD) and personal interviews (PI) are conducted where the short-listed candidates were invited to come to participate in a GD and PI in the  next level of the selection process. The GD is to assess the ability to communicate and work within a team. The PI is to measure motivation, knowledge and personality of the candidates.

Final Selection Document: The final document will indicate the candidates based on the selection exam scores, performance in the GD and the PI, academic performance prior to application, experience (if applicable), and any extra-curricular activities.

Offer: A formal offer letter will be issued to indicate the candidate being selected for an offer and confirmation of the applicant's offer must be submitted with an admission fee within the required timeframe.

Commencement Of Classes: After the admission process has passed and the applicant is accepted to VBS, classes will begin, orientation and pre-class type programming will take place to help acquaint students to courses and the school to navigate the VBS campus.
