Admission Process a Ras Bihari Bose Subharti University:

1. General Rules of Admission

• Admissions to Ras Bihari Bose Subharti University courses are conducted either through an Entrance Examination or based on merit in the qualifying examination, spot test, and interview, as applicable.
• If seats remain vacant after the entrance examination and no students are available from the waiting list, admissions will be made from another list considering marks obtained in the qualifying examination, spot test, and/or interview conducted by the University.
• A notification regarding the date of spot test and interview, along with other relevant details, will be issued in newspapers and posted on the University website. Candidates must go to the specified place on the specified date with all original certificates and course fees for on-the-spot deposit if selected.
• The academic session will begin either on 1st August 2017 or in accordance with the regulations of the relevant governing bodies. The last date for admission in a semester system course is 30th September and in a yearly system is 31st October.
• Admissions are open to Indian/Foreign Nationals and NRIs. Students with qualifying exams from outside the country must produce an equivalence certificate from the Association of Indian Universities. Any condition laid down by the Central Govt. will supersede other regulations.

1. Reservation

• 25% Seats Reserved: For permanent residents of Uttarakhand. If these seats remain vacant, they will be filled by All India Category candidates.
• State Government Reservation Policy: The University complies with the State Government's reservation policy as amended/applicable.
• 25% Tuition Fee Rebate: For candidates admitted under the permanent resident category.
• Physically Handicapped Category: Only candidates with locomotor disability of lower limbs are considered.

1. Age and Eligibility

• Students must be 17 years of age by 31st December of the admission year for all graduation courses after 10+2. The Vice-Chancellor may relax this condition in exceptional circumstances if the course is governed solely by university rules and does not contravene UGC/Statutory Body regulations.

1. Application and Admission Process

• Application: Click the “Apply Now” option on the university website and fill out the registration form with required details. Admission updates will be communicated online.
• Required Documents at Admission:

• Original admission letter and fee receipt.
• Filled registration-cum-admission form with one self-attested photo and one spare photo
• Medical certificate in the prescribed form.
• Anti-ragging undertakings from student and parent on notarized non-judicial stamp paper of INR 10.
• Filled hostel admission form, if applicable.
• Identity card form completed in capital letters.

• Provisional Admission: Students provisionally admitted must submit proof of eligibility by 31st October, or their admission will be cancelled.

1. Additional Rules

• The University reserves the right to change the curriculum, course structure, and rules relating to admissions, examinations, fees, refunds, and scholarships if not in contravention to UGC/Statutory Body regulations.
• Updates will be notified on the University website; no individual communication will be sent.
• All disputes will be referred to the Vice-Chancellor, whose decision is final.
• The University's legal jurisdiction is Nainital High Court, Uttarakhand.
• Fee refund policies follow UGC guidelines, with a separate policy for the MBBS course as per the Supreme Court's judgment.
• Late reporting without valid reason may result in admission cancellation.
• Students must report/register on the day of session commencement or immediately if admitted later.
