Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, also known as BITS Pilani, is a private deemed university that was established in 1964 and is situated in Pilani, Rajasthan, India. The other three campuses of BITS are located in Goa, Hyderabad, and Dubai. Birla Institute of Technology and Science Pilani has received UGC approval and an "A" grade from the NAAC for accreditation. According to the NIRF 2023 Rankings, the deemed institution is ranked 20 and 25 within the categories of "University" and "Engineering." Students in the pharmacy, management, engineering, and other streams can enrol in UG, PG, and PhD programs offered by BITS Pilani Deemed University through 13 of its departments.

The Aditya Birla Group supports the deemed university, which was one of the first six organisations to be designated as an Institute of Eminence in 2018.BITS is responsible for administering the all-India computerised admission test known as BITSAT (BITS Admission Test). The BITSAT Exam is the sole instrument used for assessing admission.

· The three integrated first degree programs offered by BITS Pilani are the BE(Hons) in eight specialisations, the B.Pharm. and M.Sc. in six specialisations. Admission to these courses is determined by BITS Pilani's BITSAT results.

· Additionally, BITS Pilani takes the GATE result into account when admitting ME students, and the GPAT score is taken into account when admitting MPharm students. When choosing for ME/MPharm admission, BITS Pilani offers students three options: taking into account GPAT or GATE 2024/2023 scores.
