Birla Institute of Technology and Science [BITS], PILANI

Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, also known as BITS Pilani, is a private deemed university that was established in 1964 and is situated in Pilani, Rajasthan, India. The other three campuses of BITS are located in Goa, Hyderabad, and Dubai. Birla Institute of Technology and Science Pilani has received UGC approval and an "A" grade from the NAAC for accreditation. According to the NIRF 2023 Rankings, the deemed institution is ranked 20 and 25 within the categories of "University" and "Engineering." Students in the pharmacy, management, engineering, and other streams can enrol in UG, PG, and PhD programs offered by BITS Pilani Deemed University through 13 of its departments.

The Aditya Birla Group supports the deemed university, which was one of the first six organisations to be designated as an Institute of Eminence in 2018.BITS is responsible for administering the all-India computerised admission test known as BITSAT (BITS Admission Test). The BITSAT Exam is the sole instrument used for assessing admission.

·   According to NIRF, the overall ranking of Indian colleges is 25 out of 200 in 2023, compared to 32 out of 200 in 2022. According to the NIRF, BITS Pilani's B.Tech ranking is ranked 25th out of 200 Indian colleges in 2023, and 29th out of 300 colleges in 2022.

·   Pilani BITS The Week's overall 2021 ranking of Indian colleges is 5 out of 34. The Week ranked BITS Pilani's B.Tech program seventh out of 131 Indian colleges in 2023, and seventh out of 216 in 2022.

·   Pilani BITS Outlook's 2019 ranking of all Indian colleges is 15 out of 100. According to Outlook, BITS Pilani's B.Tech ranking is ranked #2 among 160 Indian universities for both the 2023 and 2022 academic years.

     The B.Tech program at BITS Pilani was ranked sixth out of 196 Indian colleges by The Times of India in 2021; in 2020, it was ranked second out of 162 colleges.

·   Placements at BITS Pilani are currently underway for the 2024 graduating class.

·       Up until now, the MBA Business Analytics class of 2022–2024 has been offered the highest and average package at INR 27 LPA and INR 17.45 LPA, respectively.

·       The average package for MBA BA 2024 BTA students was INR 18 LPA, 6% more than the previous year.

·   The maximum stipend granted in the 2022–24 SIP was INR 75,000, while the average placement offered was INR 36,222.
