Uttar Pradesh Scholarship Scheme is a state Scholarship program, initiative of govt. of UP under this Scholarship scheme, the Govt. Of UP provides financial aid to students who cannot complete their education due to economic problems. More than 2 lakh Schools and 60 universities in UP fall under UP scholarship programs.

The scholarship is available for classes from 9th to post-graduation under various categories. This scholarship program also encourages students to pursue higher education. Uttar Pradesh domicile students are eligible for the scholarship program.

The last date of registration for the Scholarship is 31st December 2023. The Students who are interested in applying for the Scholarship need to visit the official website scholarship.up.gov.in

For Pre Matric Scholarship scheme

• The application started on the 16th of September, 2023.
• The last date to complete the application is the 13th of November, 2023.
• The last date for Submission of the printout of the application to institutions is the 20th- 25th of November 2023.
• Correction of candidates" application forms will start on 15 December 2023.
• The amount of the Scholarship will be credited to shortlisted students to their Accounts before the last week of February 2024.

For the Post Matric Scholarship scheme

• The application started on the 6th of November, 2023.
• The last date to fill out the application is the 10th to 15th of December, 2023.
• The last date for Submission of the printout of the application to institutions is the 20th of December, 2023.
• Correction of candidates" application forms will start on 25 December 2023.
• The amount of the Scholarship will be credited to the shortlisted students to their Accounts before the last week of February 2024.

Uttar Pradesh Scholarship Scheme  Types of Scholarship

• Pre-Matric Scholarship is eligible for the students of classes 9 to 10.
• The post-matric scholarship is eligible for intermediate students, classes 11 to 12.
• Post-matric scholarship is eligible for students other than UG and PG intermediate.
• A post-matric scholarship is eligible for students outside of the state.

Uttar Pradesh Scholarship Scheme  Eligibility

• Candidates who have cleared Higher Secondary, Graduation with a minimum of 60%, and Post Graduation with 50% are eligible for the Scholarship amount.
• The candidate"s family income should be below Rs. 100000 for the general category and 1,50,000 for SC, ST, and OBC category in intermediate and below Rs 2,00,000 for the general category and 2,50,000 for SC, ST, and OBC category in graduation.
• The institute where the applicant will take admission or pursue education must be situated in Uttar Pradesh.
• The Candidate"s Domicile Certificate is Mandatory.

  How to apply for the Uttar Pradesh Scholarship Scheme 

• Applicants need to visit the official website of  UP scholarship scholarship.up.gov.in
• Candidates who are willing must register with the registered Mobile number and email ID.
• After that, the candidate is given a 15-digit unique application ID.
• After that, candidates need to log in with a password and ID. After that, they must upload all the required documents, including a passport-size photo and signature.
• After successfully completing the registration, candidates need to take out the application form print.
• Students must submit a print copy of the application form with the required documents to their schools or colleges.
• The scholarship amount will be credited to the recipient"s account of shortlisted applicants.

Scholarship amount

The amount of Scholarship will differ from category to category and cast.

The general category candidates who reside in the urban areas are eligible for Rs. 25,500 annually, and the candidates who live in rural regions are eligible for Rs.19,800 annually.

Candidates who are from SC, ST, and OBC are eligible for an amount of Rs. 30,000 annually.
