What is SMRHCAT 2024?
SRM University Delhi-NCR Sonepat Haryana Common Aptitude Test 2020 or SRMHCAT 2024 is a national common admission test conducted by SRM University Sonepat campus in Haryana for various undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The courses offered include Engineering, Management, Law, and Commerce. There have been separate exams for each course (Engineering, Management, Law, and Commerce), but this year the University is conducting a common admission test. 25% of the seats are reserved for permanent resident candidates in the state of Haryana.

SRMHCAT 2024 Eligibility Criteria
For Integrated MBA and BA LLB, B.Com LLB and BBA LLB courses
- Applicants should have passed or appeared for a 10 + 2 class examination. The minimum required mark shall be 50 per cent in aggregate.
For B.Com
- Applicants should have passed or appeared for a 10 + 2 class examination. In accounting, mathematics, economics, and business studies, there should be a minimum mark of 50 per cent in aggregate.
For B.Tech
- Applicants should have passed or appeared for a 10 + 2 class examination. There should be a minimum of 50 per cent marks in total.
For LLB, MA in English, and MBA courses
- Applicants should hold a Bachelor’s degree in the form of a recognized UGC institute with a minimum aggregate mark of 50%.
For M.Tech
- For Mechanical Specialization: Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree (B.E / B.Tech) in Mechanical / Production / Automobile / Industrial & Aeronautics with a total of at least 50 per cent marks.
- For Computer Science Specialization: Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree (B.E / B.Tech) in Computer Science / Information & Technology / Electronics & Communication / Electronics & Telecommunications / Electronics and Instrumentation with a total of at least 50 per cent marks.
SRMHCAT 2024 Admission Process
The application for SRMHCAT 2024 is going on on the official website of SRM University.
Steps for Online submission of the application;
- Visit Admission Portal https://www.srmuniversity.ac.in/contact-us/
- Enter required information like Name, Email Address, Mobile Number, Password, State and City etc.
- Click the Register Button.
- A message will be shown on the screen: “Your Account Creation was Successful”.
- Open the e-mail Account.
- Open E-mail from SRM University.
- Click on the Verification Link.
- Go Back to the Portal.
- Log in with the Registered E-mail ID and Password.
- Select the required course.
- Click on the Application Form for SRMHCAT 2020.
- Fill Personal Details, Parent’s Details, Address, Academic Details, etc.
- Upload documents like Photographs, Signatures, and Mark sheets (Each File should not be above 500 kb of size).
- Submit and make sure everything is fine.
- Proceed to the fee payment section.
- Make the application fee payment through Net Banking / Debit Card / Credit Card.
Steps for Offline submission of the application
- The application form will be available from the office of SRM University. Candidates can buy it by paying the prescribed amount for the application form.
- Fill it.
- Attach photocopies of all academic records which are required.
- Get a DD (demand draft) of the prescribed fee for SRMHCAT 2024 from any bank in the name of SRMIST, payable to Chennai.
- Post it to the SRM University Delhi NCR Sonepat.

SRMHCAT 2024 Exam Pattern
SRMHCAT 2020 is an online (computer-based) exam. A total of 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) will be included in the examination. Each question will bear 3 marks, with a total mark of 300. There will be negative markings (-1) for wrong answers.
The 2-hour exam is divided into 5 sections, each containing 20 questions.
SRMHCAT 2024 MBA Exam Syllabus
SRMHCAT 2020 is divided into five sections, each with 20 questions. Each of them has separate syllabuses that are provided here.
SECTION 1: DATA INTERPRETATION
To assess the candidate’s ability to objectively gather data and apply data to business decisions in normal business circumstances.
- Based on text, graphs, and tables (Graphs could be Column graphs, Bar graphs, Line graphs, Pie graphs, Region graphs, Venn graphs, etc.)
SECTION 2: QUANTITATIVE
Test the ability to solve mathematical problems at the graduate level, including those studied at plus two or similar levels.
- Ratios and Proportion, Ratios, Percentages, In – Equations, Logic, Profit & Loss
- Averages, Percentages, Relationship & Time – Pace – Distance, Work & Time
- Probability, Permutation & Mixture.
SECTION 3: REASONING
To test the candidate’s maturity in logical reasoning.
- Critical reasoning, Visual reasoning, Belief – Hypothesis – Conclusion, Claim, and motives, Statements and assumptions, identification of reasonable inferences, identification of Strong arguments and Weak arguments, Statements and Conclusions, Cause and Effect, Identification of Possibly True, Possibly False, Definitely True, Obviously False Statements, Linear Arrangements, Matrix Arrangements.
- Puzzles, Syllogisms, Functions, Family Tree – Identifying the relationship between groups of individuals, Symbol Issues, Coding and Decoding, Numbering, Identifying the next number in the sequence, etc.
SECTION 4: ENGLISH
To test the candidate’s skills in written English with questions about usage mistakes, spelling, punctuation, and the like.
- The interpretation of the passage.
- Verbal Logic, Syllogisms, Antonyms, Filling in the Blanks, Jumbled paragraphs of 4 or 5 sentences.
- Sentence correction, Sentence completion, Sentence correction, the odd man out, idioms, one-word replacement, different use of the same word, etc.
SECTION 5: GK/CA/BA
To determine the candidate’s skills in general information, current affairs, and business affairs.
- Current Affairs, Industry, Company Line Punch, Senior Officials of Big Corporations, Major Corporate Events.
- Popular awards and prizes.
- Technology, History, Geography, International Organization.
- Social problems, Sports, Banking, Cars, Culture, Politics, etc.
SRMHCAT 2024 Result
The results of SRMHCAT 2024 will be provisionally announced a few days after the exam. With the help of the registration ID and password, candidates who have taken part in the exam can access their scorecards on the official website.
Steps to download the scorecard
Candidates need to follow the steps listed below to download the SRMHCAT 2024 scorecard
- Visit the official website site of the university
- Click the tab that shows ‘results’
- Choose the examination date from the drop-down
- Enter your ID and password and press the Log In button.
- On the screen, the scorecard will appear; print the same
Applicants are allowed to download their scorecard since a hard copy of it will not be delivered by post.
Successful applicants will be invited for admission.
