What is DAVUET 2024?
DAVUET 2024 or DAV University Entrance Test 2024 is a state-level entrance examination which gives admissions to Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses in Engineering, Science, Commerce and Management streams.
Because of the Covid-19 pandemic, DAVUET 2024 has been postponed. The schedule will be announced soon by the University.

Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for DAVUET 2024 is given here. Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria.
- The candidates who have completed the HSC examination (12th class) successfully are eligible for the entrance exam.
- The candidates from the general category must have achieved a minimum of 55% of the marks in their 12th class examination.
- The applicants from the reserved category must have scored a minimum of 50% of the marks in their 12th class examination.
- The candidates should have studied Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics / Biology as main subjects in their 10th and 12th class examinations.
- The candidates who will appear for all the four subjects in the entrance exam will be directly selected for the B.Tech courses.

Exam Pattern
This exam will be conducted only in the English medium. There will be a total of 100 questions in the exam paper. The questions asked in the exam will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) type questions. Each correct answer will carry 1 mark and each wrong answer will lose a 0.25 mark. The entrance exam question paper will be divided into 4 subjects which will have 25 questions in each.
Syllabus
The syllabus for DAVUET 2024 will be based on the CBSE syllabus of the 10+2 level. Questions will be asked from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology subjects. Candidates are advised to prepare these sections thoroughly. Candidates can also practice the previous year’s question papers to get an idea about the kind of questions asked. Candidates must practice all topics.

Application Process
DAVUET 2024 application form can be filled in both online and offline modes.
The applicants who decide to fill the DAVUET 2024 Application Form online have to visit the official website the university. DAVUET 2024 Application Form has been extended till 10th August 2024 for Ph.D. Course.
The candidates who have decided to fill the application form offline have to purchase it from the selected exam center by paying a fee.

The required details that have to be filled in the DAVUET 2024 Application Form are given below:
- Person details such as name, gender, DOB, parent’s names, address, etc.
- Educational details such as the name of the school/college/university last studied in marks scored, subjects studied, etc.
- Course details, preferred center, etc.
DAVUET 2024 APPLICATION FEE
The candidates have to pay an application fee of ₹200 which can be paid in both ways (online and offline). The applicants who want to submit the application form online have to just click on the submit tab. The applicants who are following the offline procedure have to send the filled application form along with the admit card to the selected center through speed post along with the application fee.
Result
Results of DAVUET 2024 will be announced after completing the examination. After the evaluation of answer sheets, DAV University will declare the results on its official website.
The result will contain the candidate’s name, application number/ roll number.
The process for checking DAVUET 2024 result is explained below.
- Visit the official website of DAV University.
- Click on the link for ‘DAVUET 2024 Results’.
- Enter the Roll number and Date of Birth of the candidate.
- Check the details on DAVUET 2024 Results.
- Download the result and take a printout.
DAVUET 2024 Merit List
DAV University will publish a separate merit list for each course based on candidates’ performance in the entrance exam. DAV Merit List will be published along with the entrance exam results. There will be no separate merit list of SC/ST candidates. Based on candidates’ performance, they will be called for the counselling procedure.
Cut off
DAVUET 2024 Cut off is the minimum score required to secure admission in the various courses offered by the DAV University.
DAVUET 2024 cut off will depend on some factors, which are;
- The number of applicants.
- The number of seats available.
- Previous year cut off marks and the difficulty levels of the entrance test.
Note: Only those candidates who will score more than the cut off marks will be considered as the qualified candidates and will be eligible to take part in the counseling procedure.
DAVUET 2024 Counselling
Only candidates who will be shortlisted based on DAVUET 2024 merit/rank list will be eligible for the counseling process. Candidates will have to check the official site of the university for the date and time of the counseling.
DAVUET 2024 Counselling will be held at DAV University premises in Jalandhar, Punjab or a center details will be notified later subsequent to the declaration of the result. The admission will be provided on the basis of the merit published.
Candidates should appear for the counseling procedure themselves with all the necessary documents. No other person will be allowed to appear for the counseling and admission on behalf of the candidates.
Documents required to bring at the counseling
- Call letter of counseling.
- DAVUET 2024 admit card.
- Marks sheet of high school (Class 10).
- Original or provisional marks sheet of qualifying examination (12th class).
- One valid identity proof.
- Three passport size photographs.
- Any other document or fee specified in the call letter of counseling.
Note: If seat is vacant after the counseling process, there is a chance for candidates who have qualified the JEE Main 2024 examination.
