About Chitkara University – 

On the Chandigarh-Patiala National Highway, 30 kilometres from Chandigarh, the Chitkara Educational Trust opened its Punjab campus in the year 2002. The Chitkara University Act, passed by the Punjab State Legislature in 2010, founded the institution.

The top university in Punjab, Chitkara University, is a government-recognized institution with the authority to award degrees under Sections 2(f) and 22(1) of the UGC Act, 1956. The university’s expansive campus is equally far from Chandigarh, Mohali, Panchkula, Ambala, and Patiala. Placement –

The median compensation package for undergraduate students was between INR 3.10 LPA and INR 7.50 LPA. The median compensation for PG programmes ranged from INR 6.30 LPA to INR 8 LPA. Over the previous three years, there have been ups and downs in the number of BTech students hired. From 2019 to 2020, it climbed by over 9%, and from 2020 to 2021, it declined by about 24%.

Infrastructure – 

Library :- More than 57,800 items, including books, periodicals, microfilms, audio-visual materials, and CD-ROMs, are kept at the libraries at Chitkara University. In addition to daily newspapers, the students have access to more than 10,000 electronic periodicals that are accessible online. The university has access to many e-resources, including ACM, ABI / Inform Complete (PRO QUEST), Springer Link, Engineering Referex, Science Direct, EBSCO, EMERALD, SAE-Tech Papers, Indian Standards Codes, and ASCE and ASME journals.

Hostel :- Boys’ and girls’ residences are separate at Chitkara University. Basic amenities including water purifiers, common areas, entertainment areas, mess halls, TVs, laundry facilities, and security and surveillance systems are provided in every hostel.

Sports :- For girls and boys, there are different sports facilities at the complex, where they may play a variety of sports including table tennis, hockey, boxing, basketball, kabaddi, on the courts or on the fields, etc.

• Chitkara Engineering came in ninth in the 2019 Week-Hansa Research Survey, while hospitality management came in 36th.
