What do you mean by CAT Normalization Process?

The CAT test is performed in two slots, and the level of difficulty of the exam ranges from one session to the other. CAT authorities follow a normalization mechanism to ensure equity in the marking process, where the markings of applicants are scaled. Parameters that are taken into account during the process of CAT normalization:

• Best ranking
• Lowest ranking
• Average ranking
• The median score, mean score
• Top 10 percentiles
• Lowest 10 percentile

The method of CAT normalization is based on the process of GATE scoring and the measurements are based on mathematical equations.
