INI CET 2024 Guidance<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n

Attention applicants, the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS)<\/strong>, New Delhi, are all scheduled to issue INI-CET 2024 admission cards at any time now. The INI-CET 2024\u00a0admit card will be published by AIIMs on its official website. Registered candidates are then asked to visit <\/span>www.aiimsexams.org<\/span>\u00a0 to download their respective admission cards once they have been released.<\/span><\/p>\n

The INI-CET has replaced the AIIMS, JIPMER, PGIMER, <\/strong>and NIMHANS<\/strong> postgraduate entrance exams. In the computer-based test (CBT) mode, INI-CET 2024 will be conducted on November 20<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The INI-CET admission card will be released by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, on its official website soon. Registered candidates are therefore requested to keep an eye on www.aiimsexams.org\u00a0 for notification or the INI-CET admission card connection.<\/span><\/p>\n

What is INI-CET?\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n

INI-CET is a Combined Entrance Examination (CET) at the Institutes of National Importance (INI) for Medical Education, AIIMS-New Delhi, and all-new AIIMS, JIPMER-Puducherry, PGIMER- Chandigarh, NIMHANS-Bengaluru, for admission to postgraduate courses [MD, MS, DM (6 yrs), MCh (6 yrs) and MDS].<\/span><\/p>\n

The INI-CET will typically take place twice a year in May for admission to the July session of the same year and in November for admission beginning in January of the following year.<\/span><\/p>\n

INI-CET will be governed by AIIMS, New Delhi, and will be the sole authority for the review, declaration of results, and assignment of seats. The management of the INI-CET will be <\/span>using its dedicated site in an online mode and almost without paper.<\/span><\/p>\n

The INI-CET session for January 2024 will take place in November 2024.<\/span><\/p>\n

Based on the candidate’s performance in the exam, a score will be produced for all <\/span>Student categories and published as an INI-CET score on the website. The entry into the <\/span>INIs will, according to merit and eligibility, be based on the INI-CET ranking.<\/span><\/p>\n

In January 2024, INI-CET will hold a session on postgraduate courses [MD, MS, DM (6 years), MCh (6 years), and MDS] at the Institutes of National Importance (INI) for Medical Education, AIIMS-New Delhi, and all-new AIIMS, JIPMER-Puducherry, PGIMER-Chandigarh, NIMHANS-Bengaluru, in November 2020.<\/span><\/p>\n

INI CET Application Process:<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n

The application mode for INI-CET is made online. Candidates seeking registration must visit the online portal at <\/span>www.aiimsexams<\/a>.org<\/span> to know the complete details regarding the same.<\/span><\/p>\n

The application process involves 3 basic steps, as follows:<\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Basic Registration<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Generation of Registration Unique Code (RUC)<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Final Registration for INI-CET<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    \"INI-CET<\/a><\/p>\n

    Basic Registration<\/b> is a one-time procedure for students to take part in postgraduate courses. It consists of the initial registration of the applicant with the IT system for registration ID and password generation. The applicant is then required to complete the simple registration with the requisite personal data and to upload the images (photo, sign, the impression of the left thumb). Basic registration (information) is approved or refused based on the quality and format of the images submitted by the applicants.<\/span><\/p>\n

    For the <\/span>Generation of the Registration Unique Code (RUC)<\/b>, an agreed standard registration (basic details including photographic images, signature, and thumb impression) is a prerequisite. A code to indicate the applicant’s wish to apply for INI-CET, in Jan 2024, must be produced. The code is unique to each examination instance and is required for INI-CET, January 2024, to be created anew. The same cannot be used for INI-CET if the applicant has previously produced a code for earlier examinations.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Accepted basic registration (basic details including photographic images, signature, and thumb impression) is a prerequisite for code generation and INI-CET implementation, in Jan 2024. Once a code has been created for INI-CET, Jan 2024, the applicant is expected to proceed to the <\/span>Final Registration<\/b> page to apply for INI-CET, Jan 2024. To be able to log in to complete the application form, a valid registration ID, password, and code (RUC) is required for INI-CET, Jan 2024. The applicant must ensure that all procedures are taken on or before the due date and time of the application form.<\/span><\/p>\n

    The applicants should remember that their admission to the examination based on the information submitted by them in the Application Form will be solely provisional. The mere fact that an Admission Card to the Examination has been given to an applicant will not mean that his\/her application has finally been cleared or that entries made by the nominee have been accepted as valid and accurate in his\/her application for INI-CET, Jan 2024. This will be subject to verification of all the eligibility criteria.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Applicants should also notice that at the time of reporting\/joining the assigned INIs, physical verification of an applicant’s eligibility requirements, concerning original records, will be carried out.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Candidatures are provisional and open to verification at all times.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Mode and Scheme of Examination<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n

    The Jan 2024 INI-CET analysis will be performed in a computer-based test (CBT) mode.<\/span><\/p>\n

    The test period consists of 3 hours (180 minutes) consisting of 200 objective types of questions of different kinds (including single correct choice and multiple correct choices).<\/span><\/p>\n

    INI-CET percentile scores will be used to determine admission eligibility for postgraduate seats in all participating INIs. For applicants, the minimum percentile cut-off required will be as follows:<\/span><\/p>\n

      \n
    1. The 50th percentile would be cut off for unreserved (UR) seats, including Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) and Sponsored\/Deputed\/Foreign Nationals.<\/span><\/li>\n
    2. The 45th percentile will be the cut-off for OBC, SC, ST, PwBD, and Bhutanese Nationals (PGI-Chandigarh only) seats.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Resolution of Tie Cases<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n

      In cases where more than one candidate guarantees equal Points, the tie will be resolved by sequentially applying the following requirements.<\/span><\/p>\n

        \n
      1. \u00a0less negative marks<\/span><\/li>\n
      2. Older by age.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        INI CET Admit card<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n

        The INI-CET Admission Card will only be available online and can be downloaded from the official website using the ID, password, and code used during the final registration process. Applicants must notice that AIIMS, New Delhi, Examination Section does not submit Admission Cards by email or post.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

        \"INI-CET<\/a><\/p>\n

        The admission card will only be given to applicants who have completed all phases of the INI-CET application form by January 2024. Applicants must download the Admission Card and are expected to review the applicant-related details carefully. If the applicant finds any inconsistencies or mistakes, it must be informed by the Inspection Portion, AIIMS, New Delhi, by email from the registered email ID. The applicants are expected to indicate in the email their registration ID and the assigned roll number.<\/span><\/p>\n

        It should be noted that a candidate will not be allowed to appear in the examination without the Admit card.<\/span><\/p>\n

        INI CET Administration<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n

        The Examination Section, AIIMS New Delhi, administers INI-CET in consultation with nodal officers from all INIs. AIIMS, New Delhi is the sole authority for carrying out all aspects of the Combined Entrance Test, such as application, review, declaration of results, and Seat Allocation, as its responsibility is limited solely to those aspects of INI-CET.<\/span><\/p>\n

        Admission to any of the participating INIs shall be regulated, where applicable, by the rules and regulations of the respective Institute and administered by the Head of Institutions of the respective INIs (details are given in Part B of the INI-CET Prospectus, Jan 2024). All disputes concerning any matter referred to herein shall be subject exclusively to the jurisdiction of the courts of Delhi.<\/span><\/p>\n

        INI CET 2024 Eligibility Criteria<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n

        Under this clause, the eligibility criteria have been divided into 2 parts: Part A and Part B. Part A of eligibility requirements are limited to the implementation and evaluation components of the INI-CET. But eligibility requirements for admission to postgraduate courses in various INIs can differ, and applicants must read in detail Part B of the prospectus for each INI.<\/span><\/p>\n

        \"INI-CET\"<\/a><\/h3>\n

        For Indian National and OCI (Overseas Citizens of India)<\/b><\/h3>\n

        An applicant must have an MBBS degree from a University recognized by the National Medical Commission\/Medical Council of India as notified by the Govt. for MD\/MS\/DM-6yrs\/MCH-6yrs and a BDS degree for MDS courses of India and the Dental Council of India, respectively, and must have completed the prescribed 12-month mandatory rotating internship\/practical training cycle by the dates referred to in the respective Institute’s INFORMATION BROCHURE.<\/span><\/p>\n

        Depending on the fulfillment of the eligibility requirements applicable to the respective INIs, an applicant may be eligible for admission to any INI or only to a certain particular INI. After announcing the result, making seat choices & order of preference will be permitted on a provisional basis as per the relevant eligibility criteria for admission into the respective INI.<\/span><\/p>\n

        Eligible marks\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

        A minimum of the following marks (total of all professional MBBS\/BDS professional examinations) must have been obtained by an Indian national who has obtained an eligibility degree in India:<\/span><\/p>\n

          \n
        1. \u00a050 percent points in aggregate for candidates belonging to the SC\/ST categories:<\/span><\/li>\n
        2. \u00a055 percent marks in aggregate for all other grades, including the OBC\/EWS categories,<\/span><\/li>\n
        3. \u00a0The minimum aggregate as given in a) will apply to individuals with Benchmark Disabilities [PwBD] applicants.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          Notes :<\/b><\/p>\n

            \n
          • It has been found that instead of aggregating all MBBS \/ BDS Professional (4 years) exam marks, applicants fill out total marks of the first or third professional examination which are incorrect. It is necessary to complete the sum of all professional MBBS\/BDS professional exams. Please use only the marks obtained) for successful completion in the case of an additional test in one or more subjects.<\/span><\/li>\n
          • If it is found that an applicant who does not meet the eligibility qualification\/requirements (such as dates of completion of the internship, etc has submitted false information solely for appearance in the test, the applicant may be liable, at the discretion of the competent authority, to be disqualified from appearing in the INI-CET Entrance Examination in the future.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

            For Sponsored Applicants<\/b><\/h4>\n

            In all MBBS\/BDS professional exams, the eligibility of the sponsored candidates for the minimum marks in aggregate shall be the same as for the candidates referred to above.<\/span><\/p>\n

            Sponsorship Certificate: A valid Supported Certificate must be submitted to the Final Registration on or before the closing date as already stated.<\/span><\/p>\n

            Please notice that at the time of admission, applicants must apply for the original sponsored certificate, in the absence of which their candidature will be canceled.<\/span><\/p>\n

            For Indian National graduated from Foreign Universities<\/strong><\/h3>\n

            The marks obtained in the International Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) conducted by the National Board of Examination (NBE) for Indian National candidates who have graduated from foreign universities shall be considered in favor of aggregate marks.<\/span><\/p>\n

            For Foreign National candidates<\/b><\/p>\n

            To assess the percentage grading value, applicants are required to obtain a grading system certificate from the relevant university\/institution.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

            The marks determined accordingly must be completed before the due date in the ‘Marks Column’ for the completion of the final registration.<\/span><\/p>\n

            In all the MBBS\/BDS technical exams, the eligibility of Foreign National Applicants concerning the minimum marks in aggregate will be 55% aggregate or equivalent.<\/span><\/p>\n

            No Objection Certificate (NOC)<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n

            NOC from the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. India, on or before the dates, should be sent to the Review Section. Please notice that no certificate of objection received solely from the Ministry of External Affairs is NOT considered to be a legitimate INI-CET NOC.<\/span><\/p>\n
