About Vellore Institute of Technology–

Every building on campus has a lab that is fully furnished and equipped. The well designed and extensive facilities offered for both students and professors are a noticeable aspect of VIT. In VIT, there are seven academic blocks—MB, GDN, CDMM, SMV, CBMR, TT, SJT, and GANDHI BLOCK—each of which is highly specialized in its own discipline. The 372 acre campus has been utilized to its full potential by an intelligently planned layout. The purpose of these distinct blocks is to provide the ideal environment for both study and research while outfitting each block with the essential conveniences.
Admission –
The 66 undergraduate, 58 postgraduate, 15 integrated, 2 research, and 2 M.Tech industrial programmes offered by the VIT Group of Institutions are listed below. In addition to full-time PhD programmes in engineering and management disciplines, there are also integrated PhD programmes in engineering disciplines and PhDs in science and languages. Student collaboration across departments is encouraged by research centres, which are essential components of the different institutions. A student who has been accepted should enroll in one of the institutions, depending on the degree or programme they have chosen.
March 5, 2023, is the deadline for MBA course applications. Scheduled for March 19, 2023, is the PI. Admission for BTech at VIT Vellore is open for 2023. VITEEE applications must be submitted by March 31, 2023. (tentative). The VITEEE will take place from April 17 to April 23, 2023. Facilities –
Library :- The Central Library has six storeys with a total area of 7770 square metres (Excluding ground floor). It offers specialized collections of printed books, e-books, back issues, CDs, and DVDs in the fields of mathematics and sciences, engineering and technology, biotechnology, humanities, social sciences, and management. The Central Library has print and online subscriptions to both national and international journals. The library offers video conferencing, NPTEL video courses, ePGpathashala, the Swayam Program, and other online learning tools developed by the Indian government. In addition to implementing RFID technology with self-issue and return kiosks, WEB-OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue), and an online renewal facility, Central Library uses Koha software for library automation.
Cafeteria :- Three fully functional, multi-cuisine cafeterias are available at three key sites across the college, which is a great blessing for VIT. All three of the cafeterias have contracts with outside caterers and offer delicious meals at relatively affordable pricing for students. With a vast selection of foods and cuisines, they provide students home-style food from all across the nation without sacrificing the quality.
Hostel :- The university includes a total of 23 dorms, 17 of which are for boys and have single, double, triple, quadruple, and six-bed rooms. Together with a well-maintained swimming pool, there is also a gym facility. The six hostels for women. Within one of these hostel grounds, female students have access to exercise equipment and a recently constructed swimming pool. For individuals who require air conditioning, an individual metering service is also offered.
Placement –

It has 100 million rupees worth of sponsorship for 50 research initiatives. Additionally, VIT provides consulting services to the Defence Research and Development Laboratory for more than Rs 2.2 million.
